Luther was also wrong about reading the Christian church into the Old Testament.

All false, but he was a Roman priest, so there’s that.

Well, he retained the messed up understanding of the Godhead, along with reverence of superhuman Mary, so he probably continued to have a thing for graven images as well. Pot-kettle.

We love Luther. We hate Luther. We despise his teachings. We adore his teachings. It’s hard to keep this all straight.

>>She became the Mother of God<<

.
To you Protestants, Luther, the foremost Reformer, must sound like a blasphemer. After all, GOD, who is pure spirit, has no mother, right?

The LORD used ML mightily to cause the great truth of salvation by grace through faith alone, as well as other great truths to be brought forth, as well as to come up against many false Catholic doctrines.

ML had been a Catholic priest and wasn’t astute enough to pull away from all of their false doctrines. The Lutheran Church to this day still has a Catholic flavor. I was brought up Lutheran, left Lutheranism becoming an atheist, then later, after I was born again, I knew not to go back to the Lutheran Church.

The moon's full tonight, time for the wild ‘n wacky catholic Luther-hate merry-go-round to reverse directions I guess. I give it less than a day before you guys are back to claiming he's the devil incarnate again.

Still honor and praise must be given to her in such a way as to injure neither Christ nor the Scriptures.

Christ… was the only Son of Mary, and the Virgin Mary bore no children besides Him.

A glimmer of the grace of orders. May God have mercy on his soul.

For a more truthful look at Martin Luther's view on Mary, see Martin Luther's Theology of Mary

Well, he did not disagree with the Catholics about
Every thing and neither do I.

Mary had one child, the son of God.

Unfortunately, Luther didn't back any of these claims with scripture. That is why Protestants adopted Sola Scriptura.

What Does Sola Scriptura Mean

Catholics would be well advised if they adopted the same principle.

I am pretty much convinced that on these theads
a person must be on one side or the other.

It has become just like two political partys
or two foot ball teams.

I agree with Luther that Jesus was Marys only child
and she Most likely remained a virgin, because that
Is the only thing which makes sense.

I could not care less about the name on the door
Of the church no matter how cheap or expensive it is.

I believe what I think the word off God says, any thing
Else may be a lie.
