Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In an earlier Thread, we discussed the Character of Architect Howard Roark in the book "The Fountainhead", by Ayn Rand. Roark was not a particularly likable character, but, infinitely worse was his main antagonist, a newspaper man named Ellsworth Toohey. Toohey is an unabashed Socialist, who uses his newspaper column to manipulate public opinion. Using his florid and persuasive style, Toohey has the illusion that he can make or break any individual artist or politician, just by writing about him. He is the epitome of what we now call "Fake News", and Ayn Rand was quite prescient in predicting the fate of what passes for "Journalism" these days.

The extreme hubris and conceit of Ellsworth Toohey is reflected in the name of his daily column. It is "One Small Voice". The False Humility, Fake, Self-Effacing "Aw Shucks" title is a Rip-Off of the REAL "Small, Still Voice" that is the Inner Voice of the Creator, Who is Mighty enough to create Galaxies with His Word, and yet, Tender enough to speak to your heart. Some Philosophers call this "Small, Still Voice" to be the "Conscience", but from Whom come the Moral Absolutes that give this "conscience" its power?

Ayn Rand was a Jewish Woman raised in Stalin's Soviet Union, and an atheist. Yet, unconscious Biblical references seem to pop up in her books a lot. And even she seemed to realize that her Toohey character would be even more reprehensible, more arrogant, and more vile, if he presented his propaganda as the "One Small Voice" of God Himself.

May we all be attentive to the "Small, Still Voice" of the Creator of the Universe!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

When there are no Moral Absolutes there can be no conscience.

That is why the left wants to destroy all forms of religion and morality, so they can do as they please with no conscience to bother them....................

This article is short but I have only included the last couple of paragraphs. It's worth reading in its entirety.

How can we take the profound soul experiences of Yom Kippur into an ordinary weekday?

To answer this question we must recall the teaching of Kabbala and Chassidus that there were/are five unique personalities who represent the five soul-modalities. King David represented all the souls on the level of nefesh. Elijah represented ruach, Moses neshamah, Adam chaya while Moshiach will embodies the level of yechidah.

When we connect our lives to Moshiach and focus our attention on what we can do to bring Moshiach and the Final Redemption in our days, we can then experience the level of yechidah. The “mere” desire to be there places us there in consonance with what the Baal Shem Tov taught: “A person is where his will is.” If we truly want to be with Moshiach—and express that desire sincerely by attempting to live our lives in harmony with the ideals of Moshiach—we are there! When we live a Moshiach life we ignite the internal spark of Moshiach within us—our yechidah—and we get a taste of the profound joy of Sukkos that is a portent of the perennial joy we will experience in the Messianic Age.

Atlas Shrugged and Fountain Head were some of my favorite books. I read them during my working days in a large company. And I saw those people in my life.

Joining in prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, left that other site.

And all God’s people be attuned to the “still small voice” of our Lord.
