But for Christ, each of us would be influencing how God will judge us every day of lives - and that’s not a good thing because it would be in the negative. Nobody in their right mind would ever want to get “what they deserve” from God. BUT, there’s good news.......
I’ve spent a lot of time on the word “as” in the Lord’s Prayer. “Forgive us our trespasses, AS we forgive those who trespass against us.”
That’s a powerful word, right there in the prayer that Jesus taught us, which gives us the right to call God our Father. We’re asking God to forgive us in the same way we forgive, I think. Wow. That’s a ton of responsibility.
