A United Methodist minister is publishing a book of daily Bible devotionals inspired by the verses regularly sent to Hillary Rodham Clinton when she was running for president.
The Rev. Bill Shillady, executive director of the New York-based United Methodist City Society, will be releasing the book on Aug. 15.
Titled Strong for a Moment Like This: The Daily Devotions of Hillary Rodham Clinton, the book will include 365 of the over 600 devotions as well as a forward by Clinton herself.
"Over the course of those 20 months, Shillady a pastoral friend of Clinton's and a small team of other pastors provided the Democratic nominee with spiritual support to stay strong through arguably one of the more contentious elections in American history," noted the book's description on Abingdon Press.
"The book's devotions are organized into 12 themes, such as forgiveness, doing good, courage, and women. A portion of the proceeds from the book will go to the United Methodist City Society in New York."
During the course of the 2016 election, Clinton's Methodist Christian background became a subject on the campaign trail.
For example, at a rally in Knoxville, Iowa, in January 2016, Clinton spoke about her Methodist upbringing influencing her to, among other things, be more tolerant of others.
"I do believe that in many areas judgment should be left to God, that being more open, tolerant and respectful is part of what makes me humble about my faith," said Clinton.
"My study of the Bible, my many conversations with people of faith, has led me to believe the most important commandment is to love the Lord with all your might and to love your neighbor as yourself, and that is what I think we are commanded by Christ to do."
Mark Tooley, president of the Institute on Religion & Democracy, has argued that Clinton's convictions are more focused on secular works than religious practice.
In an op-ed piece published by The Christian Post in September 2015, Tooley asserted that Clinton's Methodist beliefs were centered more on the "social gospel," which stresses secular improvement of society over evangelism and orthodoxy.
"To my knowledge, Hillary has not been a regular churchgoer since leaving the White House 14 years ago, although daughter Chelsea was married by a Methodist clergy in New York, whose congregation may be a sort of home church for the Clintons," wrote Tooley.
"But active church participation is not central for the social gospel, which focuses on transforming society, not saving individual souls."
So, the author is only implying she was married in a church by using some very clever phrasing. Have to laugh at "...whose congregation may be sort of home church for the Clintons,"
"may be sort of"
LOLOL. Author had to really squirm and twist to write that!
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23)
The will of the Father that Jesus is talking about He elaborates on in John Chapter 6:
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:40)The will of the Father is that men and women believe on Jesus and receive everlasting life. Hypocrites pay lip service to God and deceive others and themselves. God does not know them in Christ. Jesus will declare "I never you." No sadder words will ever be spoken. That person will spend eternity in the lake of fire.

Uhhhhhh, is that Rev. Bill standing next to Chelsea?
Was it “Talk Like a Chipmunk Day” at that church?
AMEN To That Statement!
As Reagan said about the DEM Party, I said about the Methodist Church back in the '70s...though the John Street Methodists/Episcopal Church was still holding true to the original Methodist tenants in the early 1970s. It is the oldest Methodist church in America and was founded in the mid-1700s. But then, they too started going lefty/COMMIE; sadly.
Hillary got "turned", by a young YOUTH MINISTER, when she was a teen and has NEVER been a "good" Methodist since.
this is similar to politicians using hay bails as props at election rallies in the south.
My next spam call I am going to interrupt them and ask if they know hillary clinton is going to become a Methodist minister and see what the response is.
It’s impossible to imagine what kind of Hell has been prepared for clergy who fawn over pro-abortion politicians.
This has GOT to a joke
UMC are leaders among the heretical apostate churches of this age. They blaspheme the Biblical rainbow with arrogant “pride”.

I wouldn’t have believed it.
A new low for the Queen of deplorable.....
With all of the dead bodies in her past, the only possible religious opening would be as a Borgia Pope!
Apologies to all of you devout Roman Catholics, dealing with the Soros Pope.
I didn’t think there were that many Bible verses praising Moloch.
