‘come in the flesh’ can mean different things.
from some ‘flesh’ means physically here- not a ghost or hologram.
for some ‘flesh’ means carnl/sinful flesh that we are born with.
I’ve learned Rome teaches that Mary had an immaculate conception that kept her from original sin.
so Jesus didn’t have the same flesh we all are born with.
That, according to His Word, is not ‘coming in the flesh’- and antichrist.
The papacy and pope being called antichrist 500 years ago by the 1st Protestant Reformers wasn’t an accident.
I wonder what they would think about the world running on ‘antichrist’ calendar 500 years later.
It wasn’t invented yet when the reformation began.
from this story, this appears to be two antichrist powers and principalities getting together- Roman Christianity and Islam.
and I think most are more worried about Islam but Roman Christianity is in charge today- whether people want to believe that or not-
quite a world we live in!
you are so right
thank the Lord some here know the truth
Its not “Roman Christianity”
Its Roman Catholicism...
Fundamentalist “rednecks,” on the other hand, are the enemies of all “right thinking people.”
You might want to revisit that: JPII kissed the Koran.
Francis can't say Muslims are our brothers and sisters, but JPII can kiss the Koran.
The cognitive dissonance among Conciliar Catholics is absolutely amazing.
Yup.
We’ve been pointing that out on FR for years, and howled down by the FRoman Catholics. And now Frank has admitted it all.
But those who are more Catholic than the Pope will tell us he is wrong.
They are the frog in the pot.
We keep warning them that the water is getting hotter and they just tell us we’re wrong and ignore it.
In the meantime, they are being cooked and don’t even realize the damage being done.
There is one huge difference though between JPII and Frankie.
At the beginning of JPII's reign, he did speak of disarmament. Ronald Reagan told him that was needed to knock down the Soviets was for them to be outspent militarily. JPII trusted Reagan and spoke no more of disarmament, because by doing so it was only fueling the left. Reagan was right and the Strategic Defense Initiative was like the icing on the cake and was actually the thing that did it. And Soviet Communism fell.
Can you see Frankie listening to Trump in the same way JPII did to Reagan?
I know I can't.
I make my decisions on popes based on their theology, not on politics. Both JPII’s and Francis’ religion was Ecumenism, not Catholicism.
House them in the Vatican, then. “Home is where, when you go there, they have to let you in.” (Robert Frost)
Excellent.
“Those who hold to the faith of Abraham...”?
Muslims don’t hold to the faith of Abraham... nor do they believe what Abraham believed and was told by God that out of his seed, the Messiah would be born.
Why would the Catholic church (as opposed to Catholic practitioners) state such a weirdo thing?
I've noticed our usual Catholic friends have not yet commented.
"together with us they adore [worship] the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day," versus But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (1 Corinthians 10:20)
Allah is much a distinct God, and in the name of this false deity are the contradictory and skewed Biblical stories of the Qur'an, besides adding its own, and which denies the very essence of the gospel, that of the Divine Son of God procuring salvation with His own sinless shed blood! Yet again and again popes comfort Muslims by assuring them they have the true God, while any gospel is largely replaced by platitudes for peace.
Rome says Muslims the worship the same God as Catholics, "the one, living and subsistent, merciful and almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth," and "strive to submit themselves without reserve to the hidden decrees of God, just as Abraham submitted himself to Gods plan." -Second Vatican Council, Nostra Aetate 3, October 28, 1965
And,
We feel sure that as representatives of Islam, you join in our prayers to the Almighty, that he may grant all African believers the desire for pardon and reconciliation so often commended in the Gospels and in the Qur'an... We gladly recall also those confessors of the Muslim faith who were the first to suffer death, in the year 1848, for refusing to transgress the precepts of their religion. - Paul VI, address to the Islamic communities of Uganda, August 1, 1969.
I deliberately address you as brothers: that is certainly what we are, because we are members of the same human family, whose efforts, whether people realize it or not, tend toward God and the truth that comes from him. But we are especially brothers in God, who created us and whom we are trying to reach, in our own ways, through faith, prayer and worship, through the keeping of his law and through submission to his designs...
Dear Muslims, my brothers: I would like to add that we Christians, just like you, seek the basis and model of mercy in God himself, the God to whom your Book gives the very beautiful name of al-Rahman, while the Bible calls him al-Rahum, the Merciful One." - John Paul II, address to representatives of Muslims of the Philippines, February 20, 1981
As Christians and Muslims, we encounter one another in faith in the one God, our Creator and guide, our just and merciful judge. - John Paul II, address to representatives of the Muslims of Belgium, May 19, 1985
We believe in the same God, the one God, the living God, the God who created the world and brings his creatures to their perfection...Both of us believe in one God, the only God, - John Paul II , address to the young Muslims of Morocco, August 19, 1985
Christians and Muslims, together with the followers of the Jewish religion, belong to what can be called âthe tradition of Abraham."..Our Creator and our final judge desires that we live together. Our God is a God of peace, who desires peace among those who live according to His commandments. Our God is the holy God who desires that those who call upon Him live in ways that are holy and upright. -John Paul II, address to Islamic leaders of Senegal, Dakar, February 22, 1992 -http://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/ecumenical-and-interreligious/interreligious/islam/vatican-council-and-papal-statements-on-islam.cfm (emp. mine throughout.)
Thank you Daniel for your excelent research results.
It’s amazing how deeply entrenched this issue is in Catholicism.
And here we have been told by Catholics for years that EVERY person on earth must be in subjection to the Catholic pope.
Lately many Catholics are badmouthing this pope when not too long ago non Catholics were castigated severely for pointing out what they now see.
I had just posted this article earlier:

“Extraterrestrial aliens are our brothers” says the Vatican...
The pope better get that cleared with his towelheaded buddies.
There’s some Vatican teaching about claiming Abraham’s faith as a Muslim and that qualifies you under the New Covenant... (not).

Here is the link to the Vatican’s specious reasonings and other anti-Christ ravings, on Islam; thanks to poster kosciusko51
quote-Its not Roman Christianity
Its Roman Catholicism...
Nana,
some would have a hard time separating the two (Roman from Christianity) if they study and test the 1st importance of the gospel that Rome teaches.
Christianity has shown it is very comfortable with Rome’s version. Judaism appears comfortable too, frankly.
Paul and the scriptures teach another version.
