Dollars to donuts you stand up in polite society and say "I don't give a damn" people will know it's profanity.

And considering that the post has since been deleted, apparently the RM agrees.
And your argument is beyond weak. It's absolutely pathetic. Just because a word has another meaning, doesn't mean it can't and won't be used as profanity, and that time it was.
