FULL TITLE: 'We don't want to make a man uncomfortable in church': Mother says she was told to leave a CHURCH for breastfeeding
A breastfeeding mother claims she was escorted out of a church service in Virginia and was told: 'We don't want to make a man uncomfortable in church.'
Annie Peguero has posted a video on Facebook about her treatment on Sunday at the Summit Church in Springfield and said she would never go back there.
Peguero, a personal trainer and military wife, said a church official told her: 'We don't want to make a man uncomfortable in church, and we also don't want to make a new churchgoer feel uncomfortable.'

Why do you say that?
Any baby belongs in Church — that’s how they start learning their faith.
Are you familiar with early childhood education?
“Sexual organ? Breasts are primarily for feeding babies.”
Take em out in a kindergarten then and see what happens.
She was NOT told to leave for breastfeeding.
someone is trying to make a martyr out of this woman and it's not working.
Almost every church I've been in has a room in the back of the sanctuary for this where mothers can go and still see and hear the service.
If she refused to comply, SHE'S the one out of line.
And Yes, breastfeeding does make some people uncomfortable and out os courtesy for them, she should have not been so in your face about it.
SHE was the one not acting in Christian love.
FWIW, I nursed all three of my kids and did NOT do it where I would be exposed publicly.
That makes it a whole ‘nother issue.
That child should NOT be being breastfed in public.
A bathroom stall?
Are you serious?
How about it's preferable for you to eat your lunch in a bathroom stall? After all, we shouldn't have to watch you eat in public.
That is what I just said.
She could not understand why they got bent out of shape as she was going by state law that says she may do it anywhere. Don’t know but they may have just opened themselves up for a lawsuit.
It was handled poorly by the staff of this church and we both know what’s going to happen next In coming weeks thousands of breast feeding moms will show up at that church and have a “feed in” while that church is trying to have a service and I promise you it will be a big old mess. They think she was making them feel “uncomfortable” wait until they have thousands of women doing this.
As for being made to feel “uncomfortable” libs do stuff that makes us feel that every day and it’s far worse than this yet we have to deal with it.
Personally fail to see why it bothered this church to start with, they are more “show” than service. You know the type, modern and all about pomp and circumstance.
This is "local news" for me ... WTTG FOX Channel 5 "covered" the story last night.
The "someone" trying to make a martyr out of this woman is this woman herself. She comes across as an "activist" out to make a point (and a paycheck) for herself and her activist-lawyer cronies.
IMO
Remember what I said too, in coming weeks at that church.
This should have been handled better than it was.

Is this enough examples or need I post more? This church should have dealt with the snowflake better. I’ll post when it happens.
Babies do not belong in Church, period.
And i also agree with the statement that it was for nothing except to make a point against the Church to begin with.
everybody wants to see boobs....unless a baby is attatched to the nipple. THEN it’s an issue.
The irony, right?
There is a scuffle happening now in Loudon County at a very popular Church. Another “member” becoming outraged and complaining on facebook that the Church volunteer and pastor told her to go elsewhere to nurse. The Church put out a big apology, but apparently it’s not enough for the local breastfeeding Nazi brigade who is now out in full force making very derogatory statements about the Church, as well as tossing in anti-Christian barbs throughout the discussion, citing Virginia law, etc.
Makes me wonder if it’s not all a coordinated effort against Christian churches.
It wouldn't surprise me.
I nursed my kids and was always aware that most men felt very uncomfortable about seeing other women's breasts and that for many men, it could be a source of stumbling for them if they really struggled with sexual temptation, so did my nursing where it wouldn't be an issue.
It's called *courtesy*.
That’s one of those store-front churches down the street from my office. effing great.. now we will have all the tittie mommies whipping it out all over town to make a point..
Who breastfeeds a kid with teeth?
