Let me finish that for you:

Nine Jesuit Priests walk into a gay bar. They wave at the bartender and he asks them, “You guys having the usual?”

Nuanced = subtle

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.”

Genesis 3:1

The Jesuit leader is claiming that the words in the Gospel can't be trusted?

How can this guy claim be a Catholic? Or even a Christian?

Have it your way. I disagree, respectfully.

Jesus’ words from Matthew chapter 19 verses 3 to 9:

[3] And there came to him the Pharisees tempting him, and saying: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? [4] Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said: [5] For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh.

[6] Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. [7] They say to him: Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce, and to put away? [8] He saith to them: Because Moses by reason of the hardness of your heart permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. [9] And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery.

Seems pretty black and white to me, but I am not a jesuit.

What does your purported Vicar of Christ Pope Francis have to say about this matter?

Actually, it was said in a different language and much later after passing through still more languages was translated into English.

all the conversations that pop up on social media regarding the clarity of Holy Writ would do well to remember this...and remember as well that no original texts have ever been accessed in order to establish provenance...

If one does not believe in the authority of Scripture, that person has nothing. No faith. No salvation. No truth.

and this you know how, exactly...?

No, poor soul, it is not ad hom if it is an accurate assessment. Exposes you the more, but not ad hominum. You might someday learn that believing God’s Promises is the key to the next phase in an evolving being. Might someday ...

Is the god you believe in so weak that his meaning cannot be protected regardless of how many 'translations' his word endures?

THE God Who has made you is not so weak. His word endureth forever, regardless of your doubting and parsing. Because His Word became flesh and dwealt among us, was crucified and died, was buried in a rock hewn tomb, then arose from the dead and is alive forever more.

There is coming soon an event which will astonish folks like you, as believers are snatched out of this spacetime into a different spacetime. At that moment, don't wait to call out to the God you now doubt. He is a God of love and Grace and will bring you to be with Him, eventually, during the seven years following that event to awaken your doubting spirit.

But please, don't believe the great lie that will be pounded into consciousness of those remaining on Earth, a lie sent by Satan to trap the ones who doubt and seek an explanation that fits their doubts.

Scripture is God's Word.

It speaks of faith (1 John 5:5, 1 Timothy 4:12, Acts 16:14, Galatians 3:22, James 1:6, John 1:12).

It speaks of salvation through Jesus Christ (Matthew 8: 18-22, Matthew 19: 25-26, Romans 3:8, Romans 8: 38-39, Philippians 3: 4-11, Hebrews 7:25, Revelation 22:17).

It speaks of God's truth (Psalm 119:160, John 17:17, Ephesians 1: 13-14, James 1:18, Daniel 10:21, John 8: 31-32, Zechariah 8:16, 1 John 3:18).

The one who denies God's Word denies the truth.

That is how I know.

How do you claim to know about these things?

Tradition? Gut feelings? Opinions of men?

Amen and amen. I believe we are very close. Keep looking up!

That is how I know.

you know what others have told you...in a court of law that is called ‘hearsay’, and is not admissable as any sort of credible evidence...

How do you claim to know about these things?

I have made no claim that I ‘know’ the truth involved in divine inspiration...

Is the god you believe in so weak that his meaning cannot be protected regardless of how many ‘translations’ his word endures?

it has nothing to do with divine weakness, but everything to do with clarity of thought, which is always weakened by translation...

His word endureth forever, regardless of your doubting and parsing.

I have parsed nothing; I have only pointed out the obvious fact that others have done so, and quite often...

I suspect that the first miracle Jesus preformed, at the wedding of Canaan did not involve two men getting married.
