Yes, he took Mary AS HIS WIFE.
And a husband and wife have sex.
Nobody’s getting the vapors, metmom.
I need a gif with an eye-roll.
I’m pretty sure I’ve explained this two or three times before, but I’m not in a position to search that on my Kindle. When I get back to my desk, I’ll look it up for you.
I assure you most heartily it’s not an anti-sex thing. It’s a covenant love thing.
It is how you look at it.
Kinda BACKWARD; ain't it??
Genesis 3:16
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.
So; Mary...
...we just gonna cuddle again tonight?
Izzat so?
Can you list some of the fine attributes he had that are to be found in the bible?
I know he chose not to divorce Mary; what else is there?
Got any DATA or EVIDENCE to back up this assumption?
I'll be in this thread awhile (unless my depiction of the 'MARY' that ROME has created gets me in trouble.)
REALLY!!!???
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche)
1 | Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces. |
2. | I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary. |
3. | The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies |
4. | It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. |
5. | The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish. |
6. | Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying Himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise Him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life. |
7. | Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church. |
8. | Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise. |
9. | I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary. |
10. | The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven. |
11. | You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary. |
12. | All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities. |
13. | I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death |
14. | All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ. |
15. | Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination. |
"The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem,
no matter how difficult it is, wheter temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families...that cannot be solved by the Rosary.
There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary."

Unnamed.....
No; you are not.
You pointed out nothing; but merely CLAIMED it was incorrect.
You've left OUT something...
Matthew 1:24-25
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
So Joseph was NOT a sinner; either?
So why was ol’ Joseph frusterated?
‘cause his marriage just never was consummated!
With Mary he’d lie,
and silently cry;
Wondering why their relationship was complicated?
That’s EXACTLY what it says!
Perhaps an explanation will be forthcoming.
I don't understand?
That is totally devoid of any evidence of it occurring.
Man's opinion pieces notwithstanding.
Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel(which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.
BEFORE they had come together, which clearly indicates that it happened.
And God TOLD him to take Mary *as his wife*.
And basically, that’s what it gets down to.
The heck with what Scripture says.
And I never really do expect any answers to my questions from the CATHOLICS about what is so all fired up important about Mary never having sex with Joseph.
To uphold the bullwork supporting Mary as a DemiGoddess, she must be above human, but slightly below God.
So she is portrayed as without sin from birth (not found in Scripture).
So she is portrayed as having no "sinful" desires, like sex (not found in Scripture).
So she must not just be Jesus' mother, but everyone's mother
So she is able to answer prayer, appear as an apparition, bend Jesus to her will, etc.
ALL MADE UP OUT OF WHOLE CLOTH.
