Critics of Christianity try to undermine the integrety of the Lord Jesus Christ, declaring Him a false prophet because they cannot reconcile the 'imminent' factor of His 'end times' predictions.
Most Christians are also unable to account for the simple statements Jesus made concerning His impending return.
In my opinion, Dispensationalism's emphasis on empirical evidence and imaginative narrative has blinded the eyes of many believers.

Yeah, the Preterists are back!
Clickbait?
I’m Jewish, so I hope that no one takes this the wrong way.
Both the Jewish Moschiach and the Christian Messiah, as envisioned by each religion’s Holy Books, would usher in a period of 1,000 years of peace (among other good things).
OK, so if my distant cousin, the carpenter, has come back...where are our 1,000 years of peace? I don’t see much evidence of that at any time in the last 2,000 years.
Just asking, with an open mind, and no rancor. I hope that someone who believes in what the headline said can explain anyone else should believe it ()in light of my comments in the 3rd paragraph) with a similarly open mind, and no rancor.

Welcome to FR.
I hope you enjoy your short stay.

Read Mark 13:32 & Matthew 24:36.
I guess everyone has an opinion.
.
Your distant cousin is due back in slightly less than 8 years, first on the day of trumpets, to gather his Bride, and then on Tabernacles to establish his Earthly reign 15 days later.
His 1000 year reign will mostly be a demonstration of the total depravity of man, but it will be war at the end when the adversary must be released.

Yehova’s word has a fourth different opinion!

Hmmm
.
Yes, he should be sitting on his throne in Jerusalem!
Amazing what people will believe.
I’m sure there are many more as well. Prophecies are kind of like Nostradamus’s quatrains. Every thinks they have the answer as to how they are to be interpreted and understood.
Thank you for your respectful and open-minded question!
And you are correct, my FRiend.
“Both the Jewish Moschiach and the Christian Messiah, as envisioned by each religions Holy Books, would usher in a period of 1,000 years of peace (among other good things).”
Something that hasn’t happened yet, but we both agree will, and probably sooner than we think.
Sha’alu Shalom Yerushelayem!
“Jesus Fulfilled the Promise of His Second Coming”
Not yet. But nice try.
Ping to #17.
uh....no.
