When the planning board of Bernards Township, New Jersey, turned down a plan to build a mosque, the local Islamic society turned around and sued the town for discrimination. Now, a federal judge has ruled that a parking requirement imposed by the township on the mosque was discriminatory.
Adeel Mangi, the Islamic societys lawyer, praised the decision, saying this is a landmark ruling that will have national impact in reaffirming that townships cannot treat applicants differently based on their religion.
Andrew Bieszad, an Islam scholar, has a different take. In an article titled landmark federal court ruling opens the way for explosion of constructing mega-mosques across America, he states that the issue here is not about parking spaces or religious freedomit is about the presence of Islam. He goes on to observe:
"Islam does not come into a society to co-exist with others. Islam comes with the intention of invading, dominating, and eventually either assimilating or enslaving the area."

I believe that any religion that calls for the murder or enslavement of those not a part of it should not be protected by the first amendment and should, in fact, be treated as an enemy of the state.
Yes. When the “religion” is actually a political terrorist philosophy. In the U.S. islam should be be classified under RICO or domestic terrorism, NOT the First Amendment.
Islam is not just a religion but also a political ideology. Sharia Law is incompatible with USA Constitution.
Agreed. The ideology of Islam is NOT compatible with the US Constitution and an anethma to western civilization values!
A political and military program with some religious window dressing certainly should be treated differently.
ISLAM is not a RELIGION; it is an invasion force.
It is a criminal enterprise tenuously held together by the preponderance of ignorance and the threat of violence.
They are not here to be Americans, they are here to defeat and destroy America
Yes.
Islam has at its core a belief that it should dominate the world and subjugate or kill all others.
It is a war plan more than a religion.
Their “holy” book instructs them to carry out jihad until everyone on earth submits or dies.
Know Islam, No Peace - No Islam, Know Peace
Let’s get one thing straight - slam is NOT a religion in any reasonable sense of the word. It is a violent political ideology bent on conquering the world by force, intimidation, death, and slavery.
Therefore, discrimination (in the PC sense) is not possible.
Yes. Islam should be banned. Not just here, but world wide.
Aztec/Aztlans and others demand human sacrifice.
Religions that accept honor killings, and have religion-based orders that include beheadings, stonings, and other barbaric punishments must be treated different in a civilized society.
It may be possible for a sect to disassociate itself from the majority of Muslims world-wide and only support the “good” parts. But I see a lot more instances of CAIR demanding sharia in the US than Muslims condemning these things. The condemnations appear to be more at individual level than any leadership level.
They already are. Polygamy is still illegal last time I checked.
How do you say “A voice crying in the wilderness”?
“I believe that any religion that calls for the murder or enslavement of those not a part of it should not be protected by the first amendment and should, in fact, be treated as an enemy of the state.”
Don’t forget subjugation. Any “religion” that would deny equal rights to all members of the human race - and afford more privilege/preference/respect/legal protections, of one religion over another, is contrary to the values of our country.
Do different religions act differently?
Obviously justice demands they be treated differently.
Deport. All. moslems.
Islam is one such doctrine which encompasses a great deal of legal dictats mandated/enforced upon non-believers.
