Be free of your mental bondage, that your faith may grow strong. Be free of your Mary bondage, that your faith may grow in Jesus.

True Catholics reject presumed heretics popularly known as popes of current and recent memory. OH?
I thought only True Scotsmen did this...

“And now you guys claim that we have to drink blood to get saved.”
We are simply reading John 6:54, among others, as is.
But again, you don’t even think it’s blood, so I guess we’re ok.

Ok, SINCE He can be present with us, in just one case where 2 or 3 are gathered, why not in bread and wine also? Is He present in the air (yes), in our hearts (yes)...(and we are not meaning pantheistically). Why not bread?
And, again, is it sacreligious or heretical to believe that, and eat?

You just cannot make stuff up that MIGHT happen and expect us to accept it!

“Sorry; but I’m not allowed to mind-read on FR”
Apologies. I hope I answered “what I meant”: The HEBREW law “changed” in that we have a New Covenant from Christ. (We have different (and, look, neither 100% wrong) perspectives on many things, and I was in too much a hurry so early.)
Yes, rhetorical. We believe the Host is God’s presence, left for us as a blessing.
So, Rhetorical: if that was revealed to you also, then, withJohn 6 in mind, what would you do?
Ok I’ll now sign off this thread. Please have the last words. We’re at a standoff.
We all need to be reminded we’re on the same team against a force that thrives on Christian divisions.

Where does the church exist without people?
What mechanism establishes doctrine to follow if men don’t do it?
Is there some kind of entity somewhere that is outside the human component that you adhere to?

Which church?
And how has He protected it if He has allowed the current crop of leaders?
How is that protecting anything?

Jesus said it was wine He was drinking which represented His blood.
Matthew 26:29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Fathers kingdom.
Mark 14:25 Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Luke 22:18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

If He had wanted to save bread and wine from its sin, He would have become bread and wine.
Jesus lives in our hearts through faith.
We DON'T need to eat Him to have Him living in us.
