actually, it doesnt say that to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord, it actually says:
2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing **rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.**
if you are going to try and lecture the authors of the sacred text, at least get it right...
