Sorry Elsie, you miss the point (again). Faith is what saves. Nobody (no Freeper I know anyway) denies that. But the Bible also says ""Show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works" James 2:18. Or you can read the Master Words yourself "If you love Me keep My Commandments". While certain Freepers may emphasize they can do ANYTHING they want (or nothing at all) that is NOT what the Bible says.

There is an overeaction to Rome which effectively teaches that the act of baptism itself effects regeneration, and that one must actually become good enough to be with God, to attain perfection of character here or in purgatory, and that one merits eternal life, versus the heart being purified by faith, and which is imputed for righteousness, but which effects characteristic obedience (including repentance when convicted of the contrary), and which fruit manifests true faith, the contrary to which manifests unbelief.
