I stopped going when the ELCA decided to embrace gays. Haven’t really found (nor looked for all that hard) an alternative. Not to sure about accepting someone else’s interpretation of God. All mankind is flawed, why accept someone else’s flawed interpretation? I dunno, still working some things out...

Jesus embraces gays too, although he probably doesn't condone their behaviour.

If the ELCA condones their behaviour, then that is something else.

Our church is in the process of revising its ancient Church Constitution. It’s being updated to specifically update regarding today’s issues that weren’t discussed 100 years ago — homosexuality for one. Practicing homosexuals cannot become members.
