More food for though - which the first cell wouldn't have had. :)

Object Oriented Programming (OOP) gives a good analogy for how creation works. First God created the abstract types (kinds in the English translations) and then He instantiated them. So He creates Man in His own image and then He forms a man out of the earth.
As every programmer knows, when you create the types, they are always “very good”! It is only when they are instantiated that the trouble begins. ;-)

What Did the First Living Cell Eat? OMG!
How did they know?
I stay awake nights fretting about that.

That's easy--"social justice."
Why else would atheist materialists think it's so all-fired important???

Plants came first, even in the Genesis creation narrative.
So the first cell “ate” sunlight.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

The article seems to be referring to the simplest (yet still extremely complex) form of physical life, βίος (bios), from which we get "biology." But imagine how much higher, even unapproachable, of an evolution of abstract thinking and awareness, the faculty of possessing a soul life, נפשׁ (nephesh, Hebrew), the ψυχή (psuchē, Greek), from which we get psychology.
In comparison to these, by no means can there ever obtain by evolution an entrance unto union with the Eternal God, who is Spirit, and only they that are alive in the spirit may by grace attain, the life in the Spirit, the רוּח (rûach, Hebrew) or πνεῦμα (pneuma, Gree), of which is the theological study of pneumatology.
Hail to Thee, Lord Jesus, Creator of time, matter, life, and love! No thing or person is like unto Thee, Creator and Father of Lights and Liberty!
May we, redeemed or damned, never forget Thy Presence, not for one second of all Eternity!

The first cell was created by GOD, so I’m confident the cell had everything it needed to create humanity; in GOD’s image.

One single living cell is about as complicated as a modern jet aircraft.
All that just spontaneously appeared from some mud.

Cells don’t have mouths. They did not eat. My guess is they absorbed energy from sunlight or undersea venting volcanoes that were rich in minerals and elements.
