Vatican Newspaper Op-Ed: Address Climate Change Now Before it is Too Late
Catholic Culture ^ | 8/8/16

In a front-page column in the August 7 edition of the Vatican newspaper, Italian philosopher Luca Possati said that climate change must be addressed now before it is too late.

Citing a report released on August 2 by the National Centers for Environmental Information, Possati noted that the year 2015 was the warmest since climate recordkeeping began in the nineteenth century.

Recalling that the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change contains no sanctions, Possati called for a “new globalized approach to development” in which climate change, poverty, and inequality are addressed holistically.

Ironically, the Pope allegedly has a direct line to the only authority who actually *could* fix the climate, so why is he pushing all this leftist propaganda?

What nonsense. They should stop worrying about anthropogenic go lobar warming. The Iranians, NORKS, and I believe the Chicoms will toss their nukes soon enough. Then we won’t have to worry about having too many people and all this dirty industry causing all that nasty CO2.

I hate to say this as a Catholic, but I dont think the pope has that much power anymore except in third world countries or countries with dictators.

I dont think he’s swaying a single vote either way in Europe or America.

And why do you think that is?

Because if the pope had that much strength, abortion wouldn’t be rampant in the western world.

No catholic could vote for a pro choice candidate.

How’s that been working out?

We've been hearing this we-got-to-do-something-now-before-it's-too-late-to-save-the-planet crapolla for several decades now and nothing has changed except the players.

It's never about climate change or global warming or whatever the latest incantation is for this hoax and a scam, for these liberals. It's about changing the system from capitalisms to socialism/communism by getting rid of our ability to burn fossil fuels. Gasoline and diesel fuel make the world go round in capitalism and the resultant economy.

It's always about system change.

So the boys in the Vatican are scientists now?

If the Church wants to engage in politics, then it’s high time we started taxing them as a political organization.

I agree. Let's address climate change.

Dear Climate Change,

You're a fraud.

Sincerely (etc)

I agree.Climate change is Sooooo much more important than Christians being murdered in middle east, babies being butchered in abortion mills, catholic charity groups like CCHD and catholic relief services that support Planned parenthood and liberal Catholics who worry more about how to destroy the church than embrace it...I agree climate change is the biggest problem the pope has.

The next Pope must denounce the Global Warming Hoax as not merely a scientific error, but an evil fraud that is part and parcel of the international genocide/abortion movement. Like a lot that Bergoglio promotes.

The evil in the Vatican grows deeper and wider with each day of the Bergoglio dark age.

Silly me. And I thought it was the ever-growing apostasy that needs to be addressed before it’s too late.

So free will no longer exists? Catholics know the difference between right and wrong, some just choose wrong.

More than some. How about half last election?

Not exactly indicative of a powerful leader the people listen to.

I’m Catholic. I see it all around me. The empty aisles, the churches begging for money...

So am I, and we know how it ends , praise be, but we are ultimately responsible for our own actions, or inaction, no t the Pope.
