RICHMOND, Virginia, July 26, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) Pro-abortion Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Senator Tim Kaine received a standing ovation at his parish on Sunday and several Catholic priests praised his nomination.
Meanwhile, as Catholics call for Kaine to be denied Communion in accord with the Churchs laws, his bishop in the Diocese of Richmond has issued a statement saying that Catholics have a duty to determine their own worthiness through an upright and informed conscience.
Kaine and his wife were like every other married couple going to church on a Sunday morning if every other couple were met by reporters, people craning for a better look and a picture, and a standing ovation, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
Kaine and his wife went to Mass at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Highland Park, Virginia, a parish in the Diocese of Richmond. Kaine reportedly sang in the choir and performed a solo.
He's in the choir, and he's a tenor. He hasn't been able to sing as much since he's been a United States senator, Father Jim Arsenault, the priest at St. Elizabeth, told NPR. But every once in a while, our choir director Kim Ford will nab him and say, Tim, we need your voice. And he is very grateful to help out.
Arsenault told NPR that he thought the issues most important to Kaine were womens pay and social justice issues. He said that he could reconcile Kaines label of himself as personally pro-life despite the fact that as governor of Virginia, Kaine oversaw several executions.
I know that he's definitely against capital punishment and works to help defend those who are on death row, said Arsenault. The church has a teaching with regard to we're pro-life, and we believe in that seamless garment of life. We respect sometimes...........

It figures he’s a tenor.
Typical liberal. Defend the guilty and murder the innocent.
Priests have a duty, too.
Under Francis, the Catholic Church has become just another liberal mainline Protestant church.
Tim Kaine says he is a Catholic.
But he supports abortion.
You can’t be a Catholic and support abortion at the same time.
However, with the comments coming out of the Vatican over the last few years, and this from the Diocese of Richmond: "...Catholics have a duty to determine their own worthiness through an upright and informed conscience...." I can come to no other conclusion than it is no more a religious entity than the Democratic Party.
Or put a different way, Catholicism practices religion the same way Democrats practice morality. See my tagline.
Salvation, I have an enormous degree of sympathy for you. You and other devout Catholics must be experiencing great turmoil with your church, even if your faith itself is intact. It is my opinion that you aren’t in any way leaving the Church, but without knowing you, I get the distinct impression the Church is leaving you.
If the Bishop were to PUBLICKLY deny this clown Holy Communion it would rock the political establishment and provide the one thing so lacking in the Church today, LEADERSHIP and the exercise of moral authority.
“Typical liberal. Defend the guilty and murder the innocent.”
The Bible says none of us are innocent.
CINO ‘rat. This man is not a true Catholic.
The church has joined the corruption of everything just like all of politics all over the globe. END TIMES.
Tell that to the Bishop who allows Kaine to receive communion. Tell it Cupich, Wuerl, Dolan, and the rest of the democrat operatives mascarading as Catholic bishops. We know the official teachings of the Church, no abortion for any reason. The problem is liberal bishops could care less. They’re also pro-abortion for not following the teachings of the Church and putting the hammer down on these scandalous politicians who stick their middle finger up to the Church.
A baby in the mother’s belly is innocent and defenseless.
Cannon Law says he should be denied Communion but then again....
Cannon Law says he should be denied Communion but then again....
Tenor? He behaves like a castrato.
The Bible says none of us are innocent.
Do you have a point?
Although we are born into original sin (sin of Adam), you would be hard pressed to find a theologian that would agree that an unborn baby is guilty of sin.
Canon Law.
