American Catholic voters lean strongly toward Hillary Clinton in this year's presidential contest, according to a new Pew Forum survey.
The Pew poll found that Clinton held a 56-39% advantage over Donald Trump among Catholic voters. That 17% margin was markedly different from the results of a similar poll in the last presidential race, when then-Senator Barack Obama was virtually even with Mitt Romney among Catholic voters in June 2012.
However, Clinton's margin among Catholic voters was entirely attributable to a huge (77-16%) advantage among Hispanic Catholics. Among white Catholics, Trump had a slight (50-46) edge.
Among all voters surveyed, Pew found that Clinton had a 51-42% lead. Trump enjoyed his best results among white Evangelical voters, who gave him a massive 78-17% advantage; Clinton did best with black Protestants, who broke even more dramatically (89-8%) in her favor.
Among voters who attend church services weekly, Pew found that Trump had a slight advantage: 49- 45%. But among Catholics who attend Mass weekly, Clinton led by 57-38%.
When asked which questions they considered most important in the presidential campaign, Catholics provided answers that did not differ significantly from the overall national sample.
I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but I recall that there were a great deal of Catholics among he Reagan Democrats.

Just admit it, Catholics are Dems. They vote abortion and now they vote for sodomy. Soon we need to either vote Catholic or vote Jesus, because you can't be both. You will hate the one and love the other. It's double mindedness. Romans 1:32 tells us that if you approve of sin you are guilty of committing the sin. You fool yourself to think you can vote Dem and NOT take on the actions in their platform.
We now have a Jesuit pope. IMO, they are more liberal than they are Christian. All through South and Central America, communist revolutions are started and approved of by Jesuits. YOU just watch for it coming down the road. RC's will be told that we must accept gay marriage to love the sinner and hate the sin. They are messing with divorce law now and soon sodomy will just be a lifestyle accepted because we have to be equal with marriage requirements. How about a woman priest with Hillary as POTUS? It depends on if you go % or electoral college, at least for 2012. A slight majority voted for Obama in 2012, but ‘the one’ lost in a landslide amongst Catholics if you go by state and electoral college numbers. Look it up. Obama lost the Catholic vote in places like NY. CA skews everything because it so big and has so many Hispanic Catholics who vote dem.
