Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne: Muhammad "instrument of God's mercy" [Chrislam in Church]
Jihad Watch ^ | 7/10/2016 | Robert Spencer

The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne has issued greetings to Muslims on the occasion of the feast of Eid al-Fitr. The Very Reverend Denis Stanley, Episcopal Vicar for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations for the Melbourne Archdiocese, wrote:

The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne would like to extend its best wishes to the Muslim community in Victoria and Australia on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Feast of the Breaking of the Fast, celebrated at the end of the sacred month of Ramadan. The Holy Qur'an was first revealed in the month of Ramadan and had a special purpose:

"And We sent down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers…” (Qur’an 17:82).

The Prophet Muhammad was also sent as an instrument of God's mercy:

"And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a mercy to the worlds." (Qur'an 21:107).

Ramadan, therefore, has been a time of reflecting on God’s mercy and preparing oneself to receive it….

Note that Stanley doesn't write that Muslims believe that the Qur'an was revealed, or that Muhammad was sent as an instrument of God's mercy. He states these elements of Islamic belief as if they were universally accepted facts.

Does the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, then, believe that the Qur'an was revealed by God, and that Muhammad is a true prophet?

The Catholic Church does not have bad doctrine. At has wayward clerics who preach anti-doctrine.

And of course, anti-discipline.

The world would be a far better place overall, if the Catholics were Catholic.

Not for me.

I’m no theologian and do not claim to be. All I am is a man who tries to live my life the best way I can. For years I found that in the Church of England that I was raised in, but it has shifted too far. I found myself teaching in a Catholic school and the Catholic Church impressed me, but what impressed me more was the good and decent Priests and Brothers I found myself working alongside.

I don’t know if I have it right. I just hope that God sees I am trying to live my life as I believe He wants me to.

This type of bad doctrine in the Roman Catholic Church has led to evil conduct (e.g. pedophile priests, homosexuality, chrislam, etc.). The Roman Catholic Church, like the Anglican Church, Episcopalian Church, Lutheran Church, and others (from the leadership on down) has become apostate. To those who love truth, Jesus Christ, and God’s Word, there are still believes out there who love him in small Bible Churches and home Bible Studies. Like minded folks who actually love Jesus Christ, his Word, and what He did for us on the cross. “By Grace we are saved through faith (in Jesus Christ and what he did) and not of works (Eph 2:8-10).

Think about this...even under Pope John Paul II there was evil conduct (e.g. pedophile priests, homosexuality, chrislam, etc.). Pope John Paul II kissed the Koran! Bad doctrine is what leads to evil conduct. Find a good Bible Study with like minded folks who actually love Jesus Christ, his Word, and what He did for us on the cross. “By Grace we are saved through faith (in Jesus Christ and what he did) and not of works (Eph 2:8-10).

I am actually very pro-catholic (and ex-catholic). I want all Roman Catholics, like me, to flee the Homosexual Pedophile infested Roman Church and be saved into the true Catholic Church, which is born again believers world wide. - Romans 10:9-10

Judas, Muhammad, and even Obama are instruments of God’s will. That does not mean they have any connection to good or to mercy, just that God did and will use them for His plans. The result may be ugly, but that is God’s will if we do not have both the faith and the courage to stop their evil.

The church...shall withstand. Her flock will too, providing they’re faithful.

Sorry, no sarcasm at all. That statement was simply wrong headed...in more than one way. Not the least of which is the declaration of doctrine and not the most of which is the attempt to lead others astray. Serious stuff there.

Just curious, is “God’s mercy” the beheading part or the blowing up children part?

Given its current elected leadership, how is the Roman Church faithful? Wouldn’t those with true faith come out of this perversion?
