Sainte-Annes Parish in the Diocese of Chicoutimi decided to move away from its annual Feast of Fidelity honoring married couples, in favor of the new event, because Pope Francis has said not to judge, says Father Sylvain Gravel.

Feast of Love,
"cohabitating and same-sex couples"
Togas Optional?
If Marriage is not a sacrament, a covenant between a man and a woman, "so long as we both shall live", and this Parish has now included cohabiting (shacking up, for us old geezers out there) and 'same-sex couples', why limit it to just two. Is Binary better than hexadecimal? If you are 'going to Party', go for it BIG TIME, right?
(end of big time sarcasm)

renew their conjugal commitment The word conjugal comes from the Latin word, conjux, meaning "husband, wife."
A man and a man or a woman and a woman cannot possibly fulfill the meaning of that word.

You cannot make this stuff up. It is impossible to satirize the 21st Century collapse of moral conscience by exaggeration. It has gone so far, this Priest may not even realize the absurdity of his position.
