All Protestants want to be their "own Pope", but it never works. All Cathoics want to complain about their latest Pope, but it he really doesn't care what the little people think.

By the way folks, I am not sure how people define "being your own pope,"...It's easy!
Do they kiss the ring of Rome's Bishop?
If not; then...

Every day with JESUS;
is sweeter than the day before....
And for our Catholic brethren:
Every day with Francis;
is... eh; not so much.

LOL, you don’t actually have a clue what your religion claims! Have you ever read about the Inquisition? Are you aware of what your Pope Pius xii said and did to support the Nazi holocaust?

Not if they'd attempted to change the meaning and teaching of Christianity as did EVERY revolutionary....even your naughty Popes NEVER did that. I guess it was your GOOD popes that started the Marian teachings that are not found in the bible.
Probably a Fine pope than said you guys should pray that rosary thing.
Evidently an Excellent pope that approved the following:
"One indeed is the universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved, in which the priest himself is the sacrifice, Jesus Christ, whose body and blood are truly contained in the sacrament of the altar under the species of bread and wine; the bread (changed) into His body by the divine power of transubstantiation, and the wine into the blood, so that to accomplish the mystery of unity we ourselves receive from His (nature) what He Himself received from ours."
--Pope Innocent III and Lateran Council IV (A.D. 1215) <
But thank GOD none of those Godd, Fine or Excellant popes ever changed ANYTHING in the way you Catholics do things since Jesus' day!!!

....it is CHRIST who keeps the Catholic religion from erring....as He promised. Better call Saul Mary; 'cause Jesus sure didn't do a very good job with them CATHOLIC churches that John mention in the book ROME assembled.

We follow them from the inward, the heart, not for force of compulsion with our eternal destiny dangled over our heads as a threat for not complying to the rules of men. Yes indeed, it comes from within, as a result of our salvation, not the cause of it. I think OTCers tend to believe either we are saved by grace and kept by works, or, as in my case, when I was in the OTC, I thought my salvation was entirely by works, with no grace whatsoever, remembering that "grace" might have a different meaning to others.
Maybe I should have paid more attention in catechism class. 🙉🙊🙈
Here is another weird thing. When I was in the OTC, I actually believed in evolution. Don't ask me why, I have no clue why.
In high school religion class, the priest (I still remember his name) told us the Flood was a local thing, not worldwide. I asked if Mount Sinai was the mountain that the Flood got deep enough to cover. I was already getting a reputation as a trouble maker. Later, it got worse. 😊

However wonderful that you consider the "navigators", they are hardly Christ's chosen religionYou seem to HATE the Navigators.
You reasons may be valid; but looking over their mission statement, I found the following.
Perhaps you can point out just what is wrong with the numbered items for us.
What The Navigators Believe
The Navigators holds several core beliefs that form the foundation of our ministry.
Our Statement of Faith:
We Believe:
- That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- In one God, the Creator; eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- That Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and that He was and remains true God and true man.
- That God created Adam and Eve in the divine image; that they sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that, as a result of Adam's sin, all human beings are now born with a sinful nature and stand guilty before God.
- That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
- In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
- In the blessed hope of the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- That all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
- That the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to all believers, enables them to understand biblical truth, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.
- In the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

Well guess what, as usual you were told wrong....it is CHRIST who keeps the Catholic religion from erring....as He promised. So if the pope decided that remarried people can now receive communion, then that's not error?
Does that mean that the church was in error before when it didn't allow remarried people to receive communion?

{Cue the music...}I know you are all connoisseurs of great gospel music. My favorites to sing in church, though none of you know what church I go to. Suffice it to say, it is not the OTC. But the hymns are, "I Shall See You Soon Again" by Evie Karlsson. "Scars in the Hands of Jesus" by The Greenes, and "Acres of Diamonds" by William McCrea.
You know that is truly a joyful NOISE to the Lord. 😄

Thank you Els. That about sums it up.
What I liked most about them, is their Christian training, in practical Christian living, evangelism and follow up.
We were thoroughly grounded in the Word, and trained in evangelism. In all the years of evangelical activity, I think I have almost every dodge and excuse under the sun.
Some sad things happened to good Navigators that I knew. One was a USAF pilot, killed when his F-100 crashed in 1972. Another was onboard KAL 007, on Sept 1, 1983, though I didn't find out about it till 1985. Another USAF O-2 pilot, and a USAF flight surgeon, both lost their wives at early ages. Good people, but they are with Jesus now, and would rather not come back to earth, even if they had an option, which they don't.

Hey, hey, hey, now... no falling away from Net Pope Hossus I... If there's going to be any excommunications done here, I'M the one doing 'em. Get it? Sorry your Eminense Hossus 1. I just had a vapor lock, and forgot to ask your permission. The truth is, I have unofficially been my own pope for many moon. Now, however, I need to make a formal request to be my own pope, as long as I don't have to kiss your ring. 😖👎😤
I was thinking of a name for myself, that I wanted to run by you, for your approval. How about Pope Marcus Navigatorus Extraordinarus? It kinda be of has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
