I was baptized a Lutheran, and I feel bad for the Catholics, and some of the things they are having to deal with re: This Pope.
This Pope is already 79 years old. He won't be around too much longer.
Besides the Catholic Church has had some DOOZIES as popes. The Church survived them all.
Popes today don't have any REAL power and their Swiss Guards are merely for show. The red hats elected this pope so he had something to offer...
I don't understand why any non-Catholic would care ONE IOTA who the Pope was/is. I, as a Catholic, don't care. The Pope doesn't have any influence on my life. I don't have to "deal" with the Pope, as you wrote. Lol. That's a laugh. Me, "dealing" with a Pope.
Jesus influences my life, not a mere man, not even Pope Francis.
bkmk
It’s about time they celebrated Blessed Saint Luther!
In response to all the Pollyanna's out there:
CALLING ALL BISHOPS THAT ARE STILL CATHOLIC -- The Die Is Cast: Bergoglio MUST Be Deposed
Peter the Roman - the last Pope indeed.
Isn't "letting it go" a form of spiritual sloth -- of acedia? In essence one who "lets it go" is ceding the spiritual battlefield to the enemy.
"Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints." (Jude 1:3)
Contend earnestly, for the salvation of souls.
How many would that be? Can't think of one besides Bishop Athanasius Schneider.

>>But they dissolve trust, faith, hope, charity and the teachings of the one, true Church. The souls that are being lost by this....it is too horrible to contemplate. And now in an act that can only be described as an impiety he will celebrate the damnation of men and nations who fell into heresy and rebellion.
The men who fell into heresy and rebellion were the church leaders whose actions led to Martin Luther nailing those 95 Theses on the door of the church. The one, true Church is the ekklesia of all those who believe in Christ. The revisionist history Roman Catholics always ignore the fact that the church had already split 500 years before the Reformation.
I see this Pope in for no more than another at best. He will be 80 in December and I would not be surprised if he decides to step after that.

Good place to be! The Greeks say that the further we stay away from hierarchs, the better, even though ultimately as the “Defenders of Orthodoxy” we, the Laity, can stymie their plans and even remove them in extreme cases. You guys don’t have that option so just staying away, living your lives in your parishes, listening to your spiritual fathers, is best for your theosis.
The sky, by the way, is not falling and the Latin Church will survive just fine.
Yes, he would do that wouldn’t he? Further mockery of the papacy. Then we would have two “retired popes”.
What a joke.
Given he still thinks Vatican II teaches Catholic truth, I wouldn’t include him either.
It is a joke now. What difference does it make?
What difference does what make?
