Seems like it is specifically talking about Christ returning. But who knows.
HMMMmmm...
You are only going to complain about NOT being pinged?
You're not going to comment on the CONTENT of the post??
Then why ping you at all???
Both Scriptures references speak of folks LEAVING THE EARTH.
They do NOT, however, indicate just WHEN this will happen or exactly what OTHER events may or may not occur at or near the same time.
The new school year started a week ago...
7 weeks of summer holidays and then back to school...
BTW its my big sister’s Bday today...shes 75...
The holidays stretched from my birthday to hers..
:)
Didja get any snow last night?
I’ve maybe an inch on the ground.
I have often thought this. Atheists and agnostics are “eating the seed corn.” They are freeloaders on the civilized society so arduously built by others. They absorb the society’s rules and think they are just as virtuous as us, but they are not. Their belief in ethical humanism is like the last days of a person on life support. They got it from others and it can’t be sustained without those others.
Yes a wee bit...
It seems clear to me.
“So will the coming of the Son of Man be”
If millions of people just disappear one day it won’t be able to be explained away, spun or covered up.
But if only a few hundred, a few dozen disappear, no one will notice. There was only one family worth saving in the Flood. I always find it odd anyone would assume it will be millions of people.
If Earth is like it was during the Flood, why would anyone assume more than a handful would be taken?
That is called The Second Coming.
Paul apparently taught the folks in Thessalonika that it was a special snatching away which would happen a few years before The Lord would set foot on the earth again at the end of Daniel’s seventieth week.
Isn’t ‘IF’ fun!
I have yet reserved 7,000 that have not bowed the knee to Baal.
Yeah.
There are evidently a LOT of these ‘special teachings’ that some how never made it into the bible.
**Give your life to the Lord, **Exactly what Catholics do.
What do you think of a reply to that comment of yours in post #38?

Don't you think those traditional beliefs would cause people to look to Mary instead of God?
It seems that the Catholic Mary gets in between Catholics and the Lord.
The Mary of the Bible has no authority to speak or act in the stead of God or Jesus.
Nor would that devoted handmaid of the Lord presume to do so. Her devotion to God was much too strong for her to deviate from His will.
King James Bible
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
Luke 1:38
Mary; was there ever any doubt that it wouldn't be?
12 hours ahead, so if Jesus raptures us at a specific day and hour, I will get raptured 12 hours before you will :-)
Amen, Nervous Tick! I will join you in that prayer.
:-) And thank you very much for the Blessing.
Notice Paul is repeating Christ’s warning ... mass deception. Matthew 24; Mark 13; and Luke 21 recorded three times for emphasis When asked what would be the sign of His return... What is the deception? The deception is also the tribulation that has never been before... That means it is not wars and rumors of wars because they continue since the beginning.
If I am required I can point to the ‘deception’, from the Old Testament right on through the New Testament. Right now I have errands to run.
