Fascinating. I have never heard this before, and I have a long-time pen pal who follows these people (and a Mr. CreflonA. “Dollar,” who likes money).
“Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” When Jesus said that on the cross, to the thief next to him, I don’t think he was referring to Hell.
This is a great learning moment for everyone to find the definition of the Hebrew and Greek words translated as “hell”.
Ping.
It seems that heresies abound with the Word of Faith movement.
I know a fair number of people who follow these guys.
There’s just no talking to them. They get mad if you criticize or even just try to point out the errors in their teaching. The retort is that nobody’s theology is perfect, so we should just ignore the bad and go with what they have is good.
They also accept that anyone who has ever made a verbal profession is saved, no matter how bad their theology or lifestyle. Again, there’s no talking to them about wolves in sheep’s clothing. They won’t accept that anyone who has professed Christ isn’t saved.
I think the author of the article - and the evangelists he quotes in the video - are confusing Hell (of punishment) with Hades/Sheol or the Prison of the Patriarchs.
From some accounts of people who’ve died and came back that we are all going to go through some kind of Hell before we reach Heaven.

Yeah, no.
There was 3 days from the time Christ died on the cross to the time he was resurrected....
Where was his spirit for those 3 day?
I have never it taught he went straight to heaven...hung out for 3 days and then came back.
I have heard it taught ...he pay for and carried all our sins with his death...
and that means he made the full sin payment for us of descending into hell....
Our payment for sin is not just death in body.. its on death our spirit descent into hell
Christ was somewhere during the three days from death on the cross to the resurrection.... where was he?.... he was paying for our sins
You can tell a lot by hair.
Look at Benny Hinn. You know that guy us not trustworthy.
Same with Trump.
Hinn and Trump got the weird hair.
I admittedly haven’t watched Joyce Meyer for a few years, but Never did I hear her preach such a thing, nor does she preach the prosperity gospel, something else she has been accused of preaching.
It seems to me that when someone wants to criticize a tv preacher or two, they lump together every evangelist on tv. Heck, i have seen Billy Graham included with these people.
No, they are not ‘all alike’.
I have never heard any of those pastors make such a claim. Where are the sermons that prove it?
No, Jesus was tempted/tormented by Satan during his 40-day fast in the desert at the beginning of His 3-year ministry, quite alive at the age 30. He, the first Adam, overcame those temptations at that time, as created Adam failed to do, and thus proved that He, indeed, was the sinless and pure Lamb of God. When He descended into hell, after his death, as mentioned in the Apostles Creed, it was to speak to those believing souls who were resting in the “Bosom of Abraham” telling them that the promise given to Adam and Eve, on the day of their fall, had been fulfilled. The devil had no part of this, he was not present in that part of hell (described as the Bosom of Abraham in one of His parables) where the souls of godly men and women dwelt. Those old testament saints were subsequently taken into paradise.
They DO???
âwent to Hell and was worked over by the Devilâ?

Food for thought, Satan has never experienced Hell. He’s selling a product that he has no idea of.
Job 2:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Revelation 20:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
