RE: Where is the verse that says that says Christians use violence to spread the gospel?

Leftists will cite the slaughter of the Canaanites and the extermination of the Amalekites by those who are the “People of God” as record in the Christian and Jewish Bible.

Christians are taught to turn the other cheek...muslims are taught to take the cheek...along with the rest of the head.

Invite these liberals to go to 4-5 hardcore Christian churches and have them badmouth God. Then, have them go to 4-5 hardcore mosques and have them badmouth Muhammad. Have them see what reactions they get

Its impossible to argue with today’s leftist.

They are utterly impervious to facts and reason - their opinion leader, be it Obama, Jon Stewart, etc. tells them what to think and say and they simply regurgitate it.

They say the wackiest things with complete confidence, sometimes all you can do is stare slack jawed.

You don't measure a religion by its members. You measure it by its doctrine. One religion says kill, maim, enslave the pagan. The other religion says turn the other cheek. Liberals can't tell the difference between them. Liberals think they are more intelligent for it. It's a mental disorder. They can't help it. Pity them and don't put them in positions of authority or leadership above you.

I’ve seen people holding signs that ask ‘Who would Jesus bomb?’ yet I never have seen a sign which asked ‘Who would Muhammad bomb?’

The only question you need to ask these people is, “can tell me where you disagree with what Christ said and did?”.

Crickets.

Then ask the same of Mohammed. Often, they can’t answer because they don’t know. If they do, they’ll be dishonest and try to assert some positive thing Mohammed said (taken out of context) but they’ll bend over backwards to avoid the reality of who the man was.

So the bottom line is, they don’t want to be honest with themselves. It is because they want to live in sin and, subconsciously, deliberately block their thought process, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to continue their lifestyle without guilt.

Blind media bigotry against Christianity:

1 out of 1,000,000 Christians is a nutcase who believes in violence, blind to the fact that Christ taught to “turn the cheek”.

1 out of 10 Muslims is NOT a nutcase and is taught by his religion to murder, rape, behead, torture.

Of course they are equal.

Here is leftist think...

Are All Terrorists Muslims? It’s Not Even Close

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/01/14/are-all-terrorists-muslims-it-s-not-even-close.html

“Let’s start with Europe. Want to guess what percent of the terrorist attacks there were committed by Muslims over the past five years? Wrong. That is, unless you said less than 2 percent.”

“Back in the United States, the percentage of terror attacks committed by Muslims is almost as miniscule as in Europe.”

“After all we are a so-called Christian nation, so that would require us to look at the enemy within our country, and that makes many uncomfortable. Or worse, it makes them change the channel.”

Show me the thousands of Christians going around assaulting and killing non-Christians in the name of Christ. I will roundly condemn them and wish for their swift execution.

Leftists are grasping for straws. They cannot believe all those "peaceful" Muslims going around killing infidels. Because as we all (all leftists) know it's Western Civilization and white Christians who are the biggest evils in the world.

Nevertheless, it's interesting that all these leftists live in countries founded by and mostly populated by white Christians. Why don't they want to live in one of those wonderful Islamic Mideast countries?

"Progressive" politicians and leaders display their great ignorance of America's history, and overlook the written documents which refute their claims.

In an interview posted on another thread recently, the President was quoted as commenting on "what makes America great." assessment of "what makes America great," The current President's assessment, as quoted from the interview, is in sharp contrast to that assessment delivered in the decade following the Civil War by A. M. E. Bishop and Ohio State Legislator, Dr. Benjamin W. Arnett. (See below)

Dr. Arnett made the following assertion about America and "wherein lies its greatness":

"Let us see what it is that makes us so great; wherein lies our strength. What has made us one of the greatest powers of the earth, politically and intellectually? Have we come to the conclusion that it is Righteousness that exalteth a nation? We have met to-day at the request of the President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant, and also the Governor of our beloved State, Rutherford B. Hayes. For what? Why call us from our homes? Why come to the house of God? Why not go to the hall of mirth and to the places of amusement to-day? No that is not what they want us to do. We are commanded to go to our 'several places of worship, and there offer up thanks to Kind Providence which has brought our nation through the scenes of another year, and blessed the land with peace, plenty and prosperity.' Then as Americans we have reason to rejoice and congratulate ourselves on the greatness of our beloved country; at this the close of the first hundred years of experimental government of the people, by the people, and for the people. To be a citizen of this vast country is something, and to share in its privileges and duties is more than something." - Dr. Benjaming W. Arnett, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Urbana, Ohio, Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon, November 1876

Yet, as early as the mid-to-late 19th Century, there were already a group who called themselves "liberals," in America who wished to "fundamentally change" America from a belief in Creator-endowed life, rights, liberty, and Creator's laws to protect them. A reading of Dr. Arnett's complete Sermon will detail the demands of those self-described "liberals."

The following paragraph is excerpted from the CENTENNIAL Thanksgiving Sermon, DELIVERED BY REV. B. W. ARNETT, B. D., AT ST. PAUL A. M. E. CHURCH, URBANA, OHIO 1876 - available in the "Library of Congress - Historical Collections" - "African-American Pamphlets from the Daniel A. P. Murray Collection," 1820-1920; American Memory, Washington, DC.

This historical treasure is one which should be prominent in our national discussions, especially now, when our philosophical foundations are being challenged, and when the views of a learned man like Dr. Arnett might shed light on centuries-old ideas about America's history. His theme: Righteousness Exalteth a Nation, but Sin is a Reproach to any People."

"Withdraw from Christendom the Bible, the Church with its sacraments and ministry, and Christian morality and hopes, and aspirations for time and eternity; repeal all the laws that are founded in the Christian Scriptures; remove the Christian humanities in the form of hospitals and asylums, and reformatories and institutions of mercy utterly unknown to unchristian countries; destroy the literature, the culture, the institutions of learning, the art, the refinement, the place of woman in her home and in society, which owe their origin and power to Christianity; blot out all faith in Divine Providence, love, and righteousness; turn back every believer in Christ to his former state; remove all thought or hope of the forgiveness of sins by a just but gracious God; erase the name of Christ from every register it sanctifies—in a word annihilate all the legitimate and logical effects of Christianity in Christendom—just accomplish in fact what multitudes of gifted and learned minds are wishing and trying to accomplish by their science, philosophy, and criticism, and what multitudes of the common people desire and seek, and not only would all progress toward and unto perfection cease, but not one of the shining lights of infidelity would shine much longer. Yes, the bitterest enemies of this holy and blessed religion, owe their ability to be enemies to its sacred revelations - to the inspiration and sublimity of that faith which reflects its glories on their hostile natures. They live in the strength of that which they would destroy. They are raised to their seats of opportunity and power by the grace of Him they would crucify afresh; and is it to be thought that they are stronger than that which gives them strength? Can it be supposed that a religion which civilizes and subdues, and elevates and blesses will succumb to the enmities it may arouse and quicken in its onward march? Are we to tremble for the ark of God when God is its upholder, and protector, and preserver?” - Dr. Benjaming W. Arnett, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Urbana, Ohio, Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon, November 1876
