IMO, one of the most monstrously ugly buildings I’ve ever seen.
Actually I thought the same myself until I saw it in person. It is actually breathtaking and inspiring - very deeply Christian, you can feel Gaudi’s faith in it. Also the effect of the stained glass is amazing. It’s really hard to judge based on pictures but the overall effect in person is amazing.
It’s still better looking than any mosque.

I love the building. I’ve been watching it go up for nearly 30 years. I don’t like the outside sculptures that were supposed to complete the Gaudi-designed sections, but the towers are remarkable and the interior is truly amazing.
IMO, it’s gorgeous ... a lovely structure, one of the most interesting and fascinating I have ever seen.
