Steve Taylor is my all-time favorite. I wanna be a Hero.
Evanescence KICKS!!!
Evanescence - What You Want
I will look him up, thanks!
Kings of Leon may have come around but they had fanatical parents that put them off faith in the early days. Disowned them to IIRC.
Amy Lee and Moody had a fallout because she didn’t want to be a christian rock band and moody left.
I enjoyed the reaction Dave Mustaine’s response to being questioned about whether he supported gay marriage or not.
“Well, since I’m not gay, the answer to that would be no.” Dave was then questioned if he would support legislation to make marriage between a man and another man legal. He replied, “I’m Christian. The answer to that would be no.”
Another Steve Taylor fan.... his presence has been missed from the scene.
Perfectly said. I dont adhere to the lifestyle of raping little boys either..
And Al Roker is Roxie’s brother.....;)
If I remember correctly, he later renounced his Christian belief. I hope I'm wrong.
I love Evanescence. Their song “Hello” hits painfully closer to home than any song I’ve ever heard. Underrated band.
Evanescence doesn’t surprise me. “Bring Me to Life” is a cry to Christ from the deepest parts of the soul.
Great topic. Great comments.
Undercover was a local band from Fullerton.

Alice Cooper’s father was a minister—Baptist, I believe.
ping!
“Reportedly”?
He is a devout biblical literalist.
His tour profits go to his Solid Rock youth center in Phoenix.
Dude has “flipped” a slew of rockers from Godless heathens to Christians.
He is extremely vocal about his faith and attends church every Sunday, even when on tour.
And here’s the kicker, in his home church in AZ, he is a Sunday school teacher.
Picture that.
It’s even more surrealistic than Gene Simmons as an elementary school teacher.
Years ago, people warned others “Don’t ask Alice about Christianity”.
Most thought that meant he was ‘very private’ about it.
Truth is, once you get him started, he will not shut up about Jesus and God.
His dad was an evangelical minister, as well.
:)
The list missed a big one
Kansas
In the 1980s, Kansas was nearly all born again Christians and did a lot of Christian Rock
Funny you mentioned Foster the People -
Saw them in LA with my daughter.
It was a fantastic performance that sounded as good / better than their studio recording.
Mark Foster’s incredibly talented.
Zakk Wylde...guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne is also a Christian. He refers to himself as a “soldier for Christ”.
