Of course the Rosary fell from Heaven fully formed and complete as a devotion, with instructions on how to pray it written in gold ink. Just like the Bible was also delivered complete from Heaven, in the arms of angels, riding unicorns down a rainbow bridge.
psst, that's a bit of sarcasm there; everyone knows unicorns don't ride rainbows...

Two complete ones, complete down to the "made in China" stickers, were handed to St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena at the same time. Mary gave one to Dominic. Infant Jesus gave one to Catherine
