As we’ve all heard by now, the Duggars have some skeletons in their family closet. While the news is buzzing with the very bad things Josh Duggar did to some of his sisters over a decade ago, what people aren’t talking about is the fact that the girls have recently been victimized … as recent as today.
You’ve seen it in your own social media news feed — and you may even have participated.
Before I go on, let me explain that this isn’t about Josh. This isn’t defending Josh. I don’t even want to talk about what Josh did for the purpose of this article because, frankly, the past can’t be undone, and it was dealt with a decade ago. However, these innocent girls are being victimized NOW, and it needs to stop.
I will say it again — Yes, Josh Duggar did some very, very bad things. That is clear. But what might not be so clear is the tragedy the innocent Duggar girls woke up to this very week.
What many don’t realize is that the backlash in the news and social media is only victimizing those girls all over again. They are once again reliving every horrid detail of something that happened over a decade ago, something that they put behind them — even if we can’t understand how or why.
This is something the family had addressed, and luckily, were able to overcome. Although we may not agree with their methods of doing so, who are we to tell any victim the right way to handle and cope with their abuse and their feelings that result from it?

And, he has repented, publicly apologized while his sisters have said they have forgiven him. The father-in-law of one of the sisters has said he supports Josh.
So, what the hell business is any of this of yours? You're getting off on attacking the family. And, that is twisted.
I remember seeing Billy Graham on TV c. 1998 saying something like this: “Bill Clinton cain’t he’p it; he just likes the ladies.” No, not exact words.
Orrin Grant Hatch said he wanted Bill Clinton to “come clean to the American people” and all would be forgiven.
What do you expect them to say publicly? That family is all about image. But none of the married girls had him in their wedding parties. They were probably afraid he might go after the flower girls.

Seriously? They made it the world's business when they A)made their lives a reality show B)put their personal lives all over Facebook, Twitter, etc. and C)spoke out publicly about this particular issue.

I don't think much of hypocritical cultists who parade their purity and morality while harboring perverts in their midst.
There is nothing remotely Christ-like in your attack on them. You're just doing it to make yourself feel morally superior.
I don't have a compulsion to feel "morally superior" to others. If I did, I might start dressing like the Duggars and telling people about my purity.
Hopefully these two awful “parents” will get some time in prison to reflect on their betrayal of their daughters.

I find it disturbing that you find penetration with a foreign object of an underage female while she is sleeping “basically harmless”.
Tell me, what other forums of child molestation, pedophilia, incest and rape are “basically harmless”?
There was no claim by any of the girls, nor evidence introduced, that showed that he did anything except touch them over their clothing.
There was actually any evidence of anything, other than his confession to his parents...the girls slept through it all....
Ahh, so if you sleep through an assault, the assault is acceptable. I hope you are no longer working with minors.
In Normal, Anystate, USA, brothers don’t touch their sister’s privates, period.
Who the hell said that it was acceptable....you seem awfully hung up on something.........and I'm sorry, but YES, brothers and sisters play doctor all the time...get over it.
