What a surprise, they just called me in and said they had eliminated my position, after almost ten years too.
Heavy Sigh...
I’ve been out of work almost a year. Not much moving into my hometown.Shoulda left a long time ago.Potterstown like the movie town. God has been good to meet our needs.May He help you also
I am so sorry you are dealing with this.
Remember this: God owns everything and everyone. You have a Father in high places and He’s super rich. He knows everybody - His network is boundless.
I prayed for you.
Love,
Sara
Prayers up for you and your family! No one is more than one pink slip, a market downturn, a product line change or new regulation away from being in the same position. Trust that The Almighty will help you find something better.
I’ve been there and it was a very difficult, scary time in my life. It was by clinging to God my fortress and Jesus that got me through. Prayers are out. Stay firm and God bless you.
Lots of prayers headed your way!
My family was there 2.5 years ago. Best wishes to you & your entire family.
You've got the right attitude from the onset, "Jesus I Trust in Thee." Keep close to the Lord each day. Take a bit of time to make an assessment, maybe there is another path for you at the present time. Ask God to help you to discern His will for your life going forward.
Take the FReepers in this thread up on their offers of assistance, the Lord works in often mysterious ways. You never now how sending a resume to person A, who happens to know person B, that is in touch with person C, and so forth...
And, keep us posted on your progress!!
Prayers up FRiend.
This too shall pass, and maybe open better doors.
Thank you to everyone again for their quick prayers, personal experiences, good advise, witty comments and PM’s
I made it to adoration yesterday just in time for the hour of mercy and asked Fr. Parker for prayers for myself and everyone looking for work and he asked St. Joseph the patron of the worker to intercede for us.
Last night was my KofC councils(unusually packed) regular meeting, a small group of us say the rosary before each meeting begins and I asked for prayers for myself and everyone that is looking for work, I included everyone here in my private intentions. After the meeting I asked for prayers at the good of the order and during the fellowship afterward I was overwhelmed with several offers of help condolences and many good opportunities as well.
I am continuing to pray for everyone here and am again awed by the mighty power of God to come to our aid in every circumstance.
God Bless everyone at FR especially Jim and John
Amen to all of your prayers
Awesome!
God Bless. I will continue to pray for you and your family.
Our prayers continue.

Have confidence and keep the faith. As St. Paul reminds us: "If God is for you, who can be against you?" After traveling down that road and being rewarded with a much better position with greater benefits, I looked back and realized that our Lord had used so many aspects of prior experiences in guiding me to this job. It was stunning! These included a p/t position for a ma/pa computer software company; teaching "computer literacy" for 3 years in a Catholic elementary school; teaching computer courses p/t in a business school; etc. Each of those jobs had served a purpose at the time and formed the cogs in the wheel that earned me a position in the Governor's Office, over more highly 'educated' but less 'experienced' individuals. It proved to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life and enabled me to retire with full benefits.
Hang in there! We've got your back.
Prayers.
