Without comment, the United States Supreme Court has ordered a federal appeals court to reconsider its ruling that the Michigan Catholic Conference and other Catholic entities fall under the purview of the HHS mandate.

Plaintiffs in the case include the Michigan Catholic Conference, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Kalamazoo, the Catholic Diocese of Nashville, Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Camp Marymount, Inc., Mary, Queen Of Angels, Inc., St. Mary Villa, Inc., the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation (popularly known as the Nashville Dominicans), and Aquinas College in Tennessee.

It is maybe a sign for hope in the gay marriage case. Maybe the gays pushed the issue too vigorously. I know she is old and she is reaching for legacy, but Ginsberg once saw that Roe v. Wade was a leap to judgement that has caused turmoil even to this day. Now if the Catholic bishops can end their silence and join the likes of Franklin Graham and say NEVER.... But we have three liberal women, including two second-raters on the court, and are joined at the hip with the gays and ought not to be taking part, and so feel no shame.

As a person who was edcuated in college by the so-called “Catholic” Jesuits, the Dominicans were always a bastion of Conservatism...still are.

I had the good fortune to go to school in the Diocese of Nashville with the St. Cecilia Dominicans as my influence. Glad they won!
