A good and holy man, an outstanding archbishop and cardinal, Francis Cardinal George had the unenviable task of cleaning up the mess left by Joseph Cardinal Bernardin and of stabilizing what was left of the Chicago Archdiocese. One fears that the considerably more liberal Archbishop Blase Cupich will now lead a regression from the outstanding leadership of Francis Cardinal George.

May God have mercy on his soul and may his soul and the souls of all of the faithfully departed rest in peace!

Indeed.

May Cardinal George rest in piece.

Every year I’ve lived in this Archdiocese, Cardinal George sent a Christmas card to my house, signed, until he stepped down. The man was tireless. I miss him. May he rest in peace.

Lord Jesus Christ, rest the soul of Thy servant Cardinal George with the saints and the angels and protect the Archdiocese of Chicago from all ill.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.

Archbishop Blase Cupich, >>>>

relevant radio makes such a big deal about him too, it seems that’s all they talk about at times....I guess he’s the local ordinary where the main station hq is located and they have to keep peace. Pope Francis is going to appoint liberal bishops who support the CCHD program and the like.. :(
