Good news, the Christian faith is growing in the southern part of the world now.
Islam is growing only because of birthrates.
Both the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church are BOTH scripture and sacraments based.

....And yes, in the RCC, if you as an adult desire to come into the Catholic Church, you will be asked for at least a year, to do both studying and taking classes called the RCIA. Right during Lent, there are special rituals that take place to prepare a non-Catholic for either baptism at Holy Saturday Eve before Easter, full reception into the Church, or to finish up the initation sacraments if Catholic.
Because if they do, all that "eternal security" and "blessed assurance" goes up in (incense) smoke ... "poof"!
Remember, no sin can snatch you out of the Father's hand; if it could, that would mean you had earned your salvation, which you didn't, so it can't.
No sin, that is, except for the sin of becoming a Catholic.
However, I am concerned about Western Civilization not about Latin Civilization. You illustrate what is to me a flaw in Christian thinking; i.e. a cosmopolitan streak it will kill us.
As a matter of fact, I have a Certificate of Completion from the diocean RCIA training process from last spring.
You have to admit that it will be from the global south Christian communities, be it from Africa, Asia, even Latin America, areas that at one time Western Civilization did send missionaries too that now in turn it will be the west that will be the one receving from those countries in the southern parts of the world to bring both Christ and the Gospel to.
Accept it as a gentle correcting.
I do. I am a Westerner born and bred and accept all that that implies both good and bad limited and unlimited.
