You belive in Scripture, correct?
Then why don't you believe this?
John 21: (We'll be using the KJV today to keep things on even footing): "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."
The Bible Itself declares that it doesn't contain everything.
John 20
30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;
31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Why don’t you try reading the last passage... Just because the Bible doesn’t contain everything, it contains all we need to believe and have salvation.
The Roman Cult ADDS to this conditions NOT required. As well as doctrines that contradict scripture, yet are tolerated.
Why don’t you believe this?

We have said this so many times on these threads, so it continues to amaze me how some never seem to get the memo. No, truly, it fascinates me, the psychology of it. Because I and probably every other Evangelical/Protestant who is a regular contributor has pointed out repeatedly that no one our side believes the Bible contains all possible information. That isn't even what Sola Scriptura is. It just isn't. It's about sufficiency for a specific purpose, as has been repeatedly demonstrated. The Bible has everything we need to know to find and believe in Jesus to the saving of our souls, and to live a good and godly life as Christians. It is sufficient for that specific purpose.
That's it. The claim doesn't go beyond that. Of course everything that Jesus did could not all be recorded. But look at the verse you quoted from John 20, verse 31. John Himself tells you, and all of us, why the stuff that got left out got left out. It was because it wasn't necessary for us. He says, "these are written [the things that did get included] that you may believe" in Jesus and by that believing have life in Him. Same exact thing Paul says in 2 Tim 3:14-17.
So there you have it. The very passage you quote defeats the ordinary RC use of the passage. All the stuff that got left out is non-essential. Therefore, even if a left out fact were rediscovered, we know by its exclusion we can be in a right relationship with God and Christ without it, because everything we really need to know and believe is already in the inspired word of God in Scripture.

The Bible Itself declares that it doesn't contain everything. And using this little tidbit; Rome can make up anything it wants and then claim; "Well... Jesus COULD have said it. He COULD have done it."
Genesis 3
...did GOD really say...

The Bible Itself declares that it doesn't contain everything. So?
That proves nothing and it certainly doesn't give anyone license to make stuff up and pass it off as truth.
The Mormons claim extra-Biblical revelation as well. Why should we believe your church's claims over theirs?
