The former chief financial officer of Trinity Broadcasting, the nations largest Christian broadcasting network, has filed a lawsuit against her former company and its top bosses for allegedly threatening her with a loaded gun when she objected to unlawful distributions of $100 million to themselves and others.
The lawsuit was filed Jan. 29 by Brittany Koper, the granddaughter of TBN founder Paul Crouch Sr., who died last year, and her husband, Michael Koper, against Trinity Christian Center, International Christian Broadcasting, Matthew Crouch, Janice Crouch and John Casoria.
Brittany Koper was TBNs CFO and treasurer until she was fired in 2011, about the same time her husband, who also worked at the network, was dismissed, the case claims.
Trinity Christian Center, based in Santa Ana, California, operates as Trinity Broadcasting Network, and Janice Crouch, a TBN senior vice president, is the widow of the founder. Her son, Matthew Crouch, is a TBN vice president. Casoria is TBNs lawyer and Janice Crouchs nephew.
The case, filed in U.S. District Court for the southern division of California, alleges Brittany Koper was wrongfully dismissed in violation of the public policies of the state of California and of the United States of America.
Plaintiffs allege that such terminations were in retaliation for (a) plaintiffs refusal to participate in conduct within defendant Trinity Broadcasting made unlawful by the laws of California and the United States and (b) reporting such unlawful conduct to defendant Trinity Broadcastings president, board of directors, to senior executive defendant John Casoria, and to defendant Trinity Broadcastings IRS auditor.
The filing alleges Brittany Koper was told she would need to participate in numerous illegal schemes that involved the systematic diversion of defendant Trinity Broadcastings charitable assets through unlawful distributions to defendant Trinity Broadcastings directors through numerous channels.

“First, since this is from WND, a big grain of salt is required.”
It’s very strange that you would say such a thing. WND is an upstanding conservative site.
Rush Limbaugh speaks of WND in glowing terms, plus:
“I got a call from Rush asking for help in the preparation of his second book. Wow! His first book, “The Way Things Ought To Be,” was one of the biggest best-sellers of all time. It was my privilege to work with him closely for a period of months on what would become “See, I Told You So!”

It’s the grandaughter, bottom pic.
watching this mess is sad,
blabb it and grab it network.
My point is, this goes back to 2011, 4 years ago. If she embezzled $1 mil, I would have thought that she would have been brought up on charges, not just fired.
Bttt.
Over the years, WND has hyped a lot of stories that did not turn out to be as advertised. I have just learned to take what they say with a great deal of skepticism unless there is independent confirmation. You don't have to agree, of course.
"A bible verse made for the situation: "...if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door." Genesis 4:7"
You might be right. On the other hand, they may have had enough evidence to justify firing her, but not enough to convict her. The two standards of proof required are very different.
I’ll go with that.
Judging from the size of those houses, I’m in the wrong business.
Oh, did not know that. They are married? I really have thought for years they were brother and sister. Where on earth did I get that?!
They both give me the creeps, can’t even stand to look at that guy Paul.
and thank you for the improvement;) It is what I meant.
“A bible verse made for the situation: “...if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door.” Genesis 4:7”
Like what?
They are reporting stories and opinions just like other newspapers and magazines, except that they lean conservative. That's a brave and good thing to do.
Which stories offend you?

Gotta think their reunions and get-togethers are just a barrel of laughs...I thought my family was dysfunctional.
No surprise ...this is an apostate “seeker (watcher) “ TV network..no more “christian “ than Fox
You don’t have to stand looking at Paul. ‘He’s dead Jim’.
If the cake makeup and big hair tv denominations didn’t have a scandal every decade or so, we might have to take their pulse to see if they were still living.
LOL!
Sure! Why not?
