Church finances should be done by someone independent of the people in the ministry. And independent auditor by an outside CPA would be a good idea as well.
The Crouch’s I am sure started out humble and ended up rich. It’s a sad tale that I am sure is happening all to often and I am sure it grieves the Lord.

Benny Hin used to be a part of TBN. I think he got into some hot water for his “financial” escapades.
His Bodyguard used to live next door to my Parents. Nice guy who once told me that Benny was the real deal.
It’s like a Democrat telling me Obama is the real deal.
In work I did, I got to see the books of an evagelist and his ministry,,
The housing allowances for these ministers were more than my salary.. and their salary was more than mine too..
It was good business.. I likened it to family funeral homes.. the kids were brought up in it and would not need to find work in another field if they didn’t want to..
I will never say who it was... to my grave.. but it did enlighten me to why so many kids can sort of just follow mom or dad into their career..
