Watching coverage of the nonsense going on in Ferguson, I saw placards being held high that stated, "Every Black Life Matters".

Ok, fine. But that begs the question; Why is abortion legal?

I fully believe in the Catholic teaching on the family. But the truth is that many women just should not be mothers. If they know this and choose not to have children I have a hard time condemning them. If such women are Catholic I of course believe that means they choose another vocation besides marriage and follow Catholic teaching on sexual morality. If they are not, I can hardly demand they adhere to Church teaching.

Yes the decline of fertility is a concern but if we turn our attention to really supporting families we may see a reverse in that decline.

We need to also review public policy that is hostile to families. This includes but is not limited to taxes, education, health care, welfare, and labor laws. All of these should have at their core mission the building up and support of families. A priority being to promote marriage between one man and one woman, with children being reared by loving parents.

I had a Chinese business associate visit me recently. We were out for a walk around my suburban neighborhood. He noticed the big houses (certainly compared with China), several nice cars, and the fact that there were quite a few “yuppies” with no kids - and every house seemed to have a dog.

He commented - American couples seem to work hard, go to work early, come home late, and maintain big houses - for their dogs to live in.

Good post, thanks for posting it.
(I find the treating of a dog as if it were a child, in speech or deed, to be disgusting.)

If it’s mostly Liberal women/couples not having children than this is a good thing because whatever defective genes that causes them to think/behave they way they do will hopefully die out with them.

This should be a good thing because the population would eventually bottom out and going forward the defective burdensome Liberals would be gone.

Unfortunately though the 3 M’s, Mexicans, Moslems and Morons continue to breed like rabbits to take their place

From Rudyard Kipling, nearly a century ago:
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "The Wages of Sin is Death."

One of the saddest and creepiest things I also notice is now dogs are also given "People" names

Gone are Spot, Spike, Scraps, Rover, Nanook, Tiger, etc.... now dogs are named Mary, Julie, James, Steven, etc.

And when their owners refer to them it's hard to tell if they are referring to a person or pet.

This trend disturbing to say the least

Is this the DC bishop?

My wife’s cousin lives in Northern Virginia. When we visit I am always struck by the number of dog parks and the lack of children’s playgrounds.

We have a dog. He is a great little dog and we love him like a fuzzy member of the family. But if I had to I would butcher him myself to feed the family.

But I grew up on a farm. We would name the cattle, and then butcher the same.

I have saw women kissing their dog and then see the same dog in a fresh pile of cow manure, probably to take the taste out of its mouth.

You forgot Mormons. When we breeding-like-rabbits people take over the earth (being as how others extincted themselves), Mormons will have contributed substantially.

I love the smell of schadenfreude, in the long run.

The point of this is saving babies from abortion.
