Those were GOOD and so true for the most part.
Our youngest son was in the Church Youth Group in his 20s and went on a mission trip to Mexico!
And one to Mississippi and La after Katrina.
And to Lake Arrowhead after the fires.
And now that he is 30 his most recent trip was to Haiti! And he serves the Lord every day of his life. A really good young man. Doesn’t smoke or drink or lie or cuss or speed, etc. Pretty amazing young man.
I think our other kids smoke and drink too much. But other than that they are really good people too.
This sounds a little like a social group around here in Novato Ca. It’s what they call a Vacation Bible School called “Messy Church”, at United Methodist Church on South Novato, Blvd.
Just seeing that phrase with the words ‘messy and church’ put together almost made me forget to push the brake pedal in my car, as I was trying to digest it.
They sing songs, and do art projects. Nice social group to get the kids to talk face to face with each other, away from staring at their computer for a few hours anyway.
They wonder why I’m Catholic now. They really really wonder. Is all I’m saying on this.
