I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.
To You, O LORD, we lift up our souls. O our God, we trust in You; Let us not be ashamed; Father, for our Nation and for each member of our military organizations, let not our enemies within or outside our borders, physical or spiritual, triumph over us. Indeed, as Your children wait on You for Your mercy and grace, we ask that no one who waits on You would ashamed because You are a faithful Deliverer. Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Your Word says, Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. We thank You for that promise, and ask for its fulfillment among all those in authority in our Nation, whether elected or appointed.
Our eyes are ever toward the LORD, For You shall pluck our feet out of the net.
Yea, though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we say that we will fear no evil; for You are with us. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort us. Thank You for Who You are and for such a great salvation. Amen.
Amen to every word of your heartfelt and Scriptural prayer for Our Heroes and our Nation.
Read: Matthew 8:1-4; 9:9-12
In India I worshiped among leprosy patients. Most of the medical advances in the treatment of leprosy came about as a result of missionary doctors, who were willing to live among patients and risk exposure to the dreaded disease. As a result, churches thrive in most major leprosy centers. In Myanmar I visited homes for AIDS orphans, where Christian volunteers try to replace parental affection the disease has stolen away. The most rousing church services I have attended took place in Chile and Peru, in the bowels of a federal prison. Among the lowly, the wretched, the downtroddenthe rejected of this worldGods kingdom takes root.
Taking Gods assignment seriously means that we must learn to look at the world upside down, as Jesus did. Instead of seeking out people with resources who can do us favors, we look for people with few resources. Instead of the strong, we find the weak; instead of the healthy, the sick. Instead of the spiritual, the sinful. Is not this how God reconciles the world to Himself? It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. . . . I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners (Matt. 9:12-13 niv).
To gain a new perspective, look at the world upside down as Jesus did.
Praying with you for our Heroes and our Nation.
