The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the citys first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.
The citys subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented, Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.

This is Satire???
Sadly it is true. It was posted earlier today. I emailed the mayor’s office about it but no response yet.
Predicting this will be dropped by tomorrow.
Somehow, I think there’s more to this story. “Mayor demands pastors turn over sermons” screams sensationalism.
Expect persecution to ramp up substantially if Democrats aren’t defeated at the polls.
I hope they read them.
The lesbo mayor says “hand it over lickety split!”
It wasn’t dropped today from being posted yesterday. :)
WOW! Just wow! Did they ask for copies from the local mosques as well? Didn’t think so....
Asheville, Houston. The dykes are bursting.
Pearls before swine.
One of those times when just maybe, the churches should tell that mayor and city council to go to hell!
This is Twilight zone stuff right here. And to think that most of the courts that could stop this are lawless political hacks. 20 years ago the mayor and judge would have been run out of town on a rail for this.
Or go to each Church, listen and take notes.
Or, if there are no sermon notes, do what the Pastor does(I hope): read the Bible, pray, and listen to what the Holy Spirit says, to get the sermon content.
Hmmm?
Would the city like to revoke social services contracts with the churches? Report them to the IRS?
By what legal authority can a city subpoena sermons from clergy??? What governmental interest is involved in what preachers preach??
Is that Aniece Porker?
