The Christian community has rallied around Carrie Underwood in support of her new single, Something in the Water, which has earned her criticism from far left atheists. However, she is about to be in hot water with her Christian fan base, as recently surfaced interview transcript has revealed that the songstress supports gay marriage.
After wedding NHL player Mike Fisher in July of 2010, Underwood stated, As a married person myself, I dont know what its like to be told I cant marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I cant imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.
In affirmation of this statement, the American Idol winner told Allure magazine, Im in favor of acceptance.
No celebrity is safe from criticism during their career; it comes with the territory. However, it does seem as though Underwood is using her faith to her advantage when given the opportunity, while refusing to stick up for fundamental Christian values when push comes to shove. In the process of trying to make everyone happy, she is going to end up losing credibility and respect.

Marriage has never been a RIGHT. There have always been restrictions. Siblings are not allowed to marry. First cousins are not allowed to marry. So now that it is a “right” does that mean that these restrictions are gone?
She wasn’t born till 1983. She’s young yet.
A dichotomy is bothering me. The ALCU and the “Freedom From Religion” bunch is all about keeping the Government out of the religion business. However the Government is in the Marriage business which is clearly a religious function.
Always ready to celebrate immorality ... “God just wants me to be happy...”
( Be holy, for I AM holy )
I think you are a bit off on Brad Paisly. I also don’t think that supporting gay marriage should place you in the category of “not Christian”. Maybe uninformed but “not Christian”...I think that is a stretch.
Right you are. Every Christian is imperfect/uniformed/ignorant in some way. No one is perfect.
“I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.
This thinking demonstrates the negative chasm in the craft of communication that Conservative leaders are responsible for, as the case is NOT about “the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love”. It IS about the non-existence of a “right” to call ANY “loving couple” a “marriage”. The fact that under wood has the thinking she does comes from what Conservative leaders have failed to communicate correctly, and that is because they are usually letting their opponents set the terms of the argument to start with, and the reacting to it on the terms set by their opponents.
Only a Christian that knows absolutely nothing about the word of God could support homosexual “marriage”. Ignorance of Scripture is Ignorance of Christ—St. Jerome
Some of us are AGAINST him and no, we are not going to hell.
1) Jews and their Hebrew Scriptures came LONG before Christians and their distorted perversion of said scriptures.
2) There is no mention of hell and permanent punishment in the Hebrew Bible.
So Adolf Hitler will be in Heaven?
As misguided as she is, she is still dang hot!!!!

Is Billy Joe a lib?
Waylon sure wasn’t...I can attest to that personally...nor was Cash really but the left appropriated him
No. But I was talking about the Jews and their rejection of Jesus that is soundly based on the Hebrew Scriptures.
At any rate, we really do not know what happens after we die. How can we? The only thing that is known by the Jews is that there is no hell because the Hebrew Bible does not speak of hellfire and eternal punishment. If anything there is a cleansing of the soul that is similar to the Catholic teaching of purgatory. Only the truly wicked are destroyed.
Ever notice how the religious set is always so much more concerned about the sins of others than what they do in their own personal lives. I wonder when they will realize that it’s not their job to stop sin by others - it’s to put their own lives in order, carry the message, and set the example. I suppose it’s a lot easier and more personally gratifying to be able to look down ones nose because one has found someone who “sins even worse than them”. Of course, the wages of all sin (even stealing an old time 5 cent candy bar) is death except for those saved by Jesus’ Blood. I’d wager there are a lot of practicing homosexuals who will reside in Heaven - does that upset or elate you? Hint - it’s good to be happy about the souls Jesus saved, even the imperfect ones, unlike the perfect ones of all who get so misled they forget the main goal.
I wonder what is meant by "The Christian community" here. Is it a marketing term ?
Although Willie is a lib his “roadhouse” is the best country music channel on the radio. Classic country, the only thing worth listening to IMHO.
