The largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. will allow pastors to preside at gay weddings in states that recognize same-sex marriage.
The Presbyterian General Assembly voted 61 percent to 39 percent in favor of allowing ministers to decide whether to perform the ceremonies. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia recognize gay marriage.

This meeting is being held in Detroit and runs through Saturday.
I was thinking “in the cross”, but yeah, I’m with you.
Wow. At their own peril.
Corrupt Doctrine ==> Corrupt Action
Unbelievers who don’t recognize their own blindness.
I’m shocked ..
that it took them this long!
Pack of heretics.
You're correct. It's worth pointing out that this is just the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination, not all Presbyterians.
Pressed Bitterian pastors have always done whatever they D__ P___ed.
Nuff of this Bible distraction!
.
For perspective, the five largest Presbyterian denominations in the USA (according to Wikipedia) are:
PC-USA: 1,849,496 members
Presbyterian Church in America: 364,019 members
Evangelical Presbyterian Church: 160,000 members
Cumberland Presbyterian Church: 87,000 members
Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church: 39,000 members
So it covers a convincing majority of American Presbyterians.
It will be interesting and informative to see what almost 2 million Presbyterians do, and where they go, now that the PC-USA is officially the Church of Sodomy.
The General Assembly voted Thursday in favor of redefining Christian marriage in the church constitution as the union of "two people" instead of "a man and a woman." The redefinition will take effect only if most of the 172 regional Presbyteries approve it in voting over the next year.
Interesting. The "General Assembly" voted for sodomitic apostasy ... now it's to the individual segments for a vote.
And it's a gross (in all senses) and obvious violation of Scripture ... how the heck does something like this even come up for a vote in a supposedly Christian group?
This is no surprise. Just about every Protestant denomination in the country unmoored to solid core doctrine are coming unglued. Anglicans, Evangelicals, Lutherans; Presbyterians; Universalist Churches; Methodists, the list goes on. Heretical beliefs are based, like Luther himself, on personal predilections. Like the Joel Osteens, Billy Grahams, Jim Jones, David Koresh’s, Rev. Schullers, Jeremiah Wright’s, Tammy Faye Bakers, Bishop Jakes, they revolve around the cult of the personality.
Too bad God will not be there also.
I thought the were Christians? Guess not....
Let me guess, you are Catholic?
Jesus promised that the gates of hell wouldn’t prevail against the church (offer valid for the real Church only).
Billy Graham does not belong on that list. He does not have, nor did he ever have, nor did he ever encourage, a cult of personality.
And he has been preaching 71 years.
“The largest Presbyterian denomination in the U.S. will allow pastors to preside at gay weddings in states that recognize same-sex marriage.”
Why only states that recognize ‘gay marriage?’ That doesn’t seem fair to their members in states that do not recognize ‘gay marriage.’

Perhaps you don’t realize you are part of the greatest cult of personality in the history of the world. Also, aside from Luther, you listed a whole host of heretics who do not represent most true Protestant believers.
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
