Joshua 3:14-17
14 So when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people,
15 And when those who bore the ark had come to the Jordan and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were in the brink of the waterfor the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest
16 Then the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap far off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan; and those flowing down toward the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt [Dead] Sea, were wholly cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho.
17 And while all Israel passed over on dry ground, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.
My Paradise is yours my children , Come rest in My meadows of Joy and allow Me to restore ALL as I FILL you with The Riches of My Kingdom in Perfect Peace and Harmony . . .
allow My Peace to "BE" with you
Romans 12:16-21 16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.
18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [Gods] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord.
20 But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.
21 Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.

Well that is your personal opinion, but again that is a valid prophetic mode.
Any Christian who is not interested in playing mere relfexive spiritual whack-a-mole will check out (1) if the message is true; (2) what the tendency of believing it in the circumstances where it is proffered would be.
But that would take some, well, actual THINKING.
I find it kind of odd that although there are four gospels filled with words Jesus spoke none of them are even mentioned, not on the thread or the comments, not meaning to complain but just thought it should be noted.
Well as far as paradise is concerned, Jesus said the repentant thief who died alongside him would be with him that day in paradise.
Now at that point bible scholar arguments get thick and ponderous. Some go for the partitioned-Sheol theory based on shadowings of the Old Testament. Some could posit that since the finished death of Christ atoned, this was a heavenly region, where the repentant are accepted by God.
But we can say the presence of the Lord is a heavenly region; and if you stunt your thought by saying that only what Jesus was directly quoted to assert in the gospels is true, then you’d find yourself hard put to say He was even God. That’s because He did not want his mouth to say He was God; that’s because he wanted his works to do that. “Believe the miracles.”
So if a rephrase does not edify you, buzz off and go somewhere that you do get edified. Don’t insist on tearing it down for everybody else.
I'm not giving too much thought to some blogger who "speaks for God".
You go ahead, though.
You have engaged in the classic fallacy of begging the question.
You can call it any damned thing you like.
Fact is, I do not hear the Word of God from a blogger named Jed.
He writes his own words as if they were from God and that right there ends it.
So if a rephrase does not edify you, buzz off and go somewhere that you do get edified. Dont insist on tearing it down for everybody else.
Hi-Tech . . . I'm taking away your "redneck" card. If you want it back you'll have to lose the animus against "literalism."
That’s a reference elsewhere. If He ultimately authored the Holy Books (through authorship and superintending the process), then it seems like a silly quibble to try to say that no, the Lord affirms THIS scripture but not THAT (when we aren’t talking about a genuine question of literal manuscript history).
You come from a whole ‘nother corner. You are Christ basher, let alone intra-Christian issues. Buzz off.
You won’t even check it out in the bible? You won’t even check out in the bible where it says “Do not treat prophecies with contempt”?
If you won’t, what really IS there to say. You are ASS-U-ME’ing some kind of private fabrication here.
Unlike your assumption that Jed is a real Prophet, despite the lack of any proof.
Have fun in Hell, at least the bands are better.
Now really there you go slinging cheap shots at heaven and sending me to hell.
How Christian is that?
), then it seems like a silly quibble to try to say that no,
