There is nothing to be gained from defiling a symbol. They recognize the truth of the Catholic faith and the real presence, they just don’t like it.
I don’t think many take them that seriously...their rites and performances are intended to simply get peoples pants in a knot....which it does appear is working.
Better just to hand them over to God to deal with and move on...the less attention they get, which is what this is about, the less these will take place.
Symbols are only that..reflecting something of meaning to those who choose to value them as so. These are not significant to everyone...especially to those who honor nothing about God.

Why do they take the time and effort to specifically target and steal a consecrated host from a Catholic or Orthodox Mass?

They do so because the Catholic church affords them the press they desire....makes them feel significant as if what they do makes any difference. Further the Catholic church sees it’s “church” as significant as salvation, in some cases some believe you have to be part of for salvation. That is well known so of course they’ll pick the one that affords them the greatest response they seek...and notoriety.
The real ‘enemy’ here is Harvard for allowing such a thing. As if this “stuff” happens at the mainline Universities it’s usually trumped in others and generally far worse. We may as well considered our Universities fully lost to the liberal agenda in every way.
Heck Europe is allowing Nazi’s to run for Parlimentary positions in the EU, announced today......the world is catering to the dark side so it should not be surprising we will see it increase more and more.
It’s no trouble for them to get Catholics pants in a knot...they enjoy it. And Catholics are an easy target with all their churches and their afiliations interconnected.
Same with why people go to the biggest banks....feeds the egos of those who can say they go there. Big time robbers hit the big banks.
