More about this sad story
here, too. This show will feature "members of Sex Pistols, Incubus, Destiny's Child & *NSYNC."

“Brandon Boyd as “Judas Iscariot,” JC Chasez as “Pontius Pilate”
Are those the actor names for obama and holder?

John “Rotten” Lydon STILL holds naked contempt for organized religion “YOUR RELIGION”.

I listen to JCS on vinyl every Good Friday.
Cheesy ALW production but it totally rocks. Why not bring it back live? I hope they are successful.

I saw "Superstar" in Coconut Grove (Miami) in 1971 IIRC. Brought the audience to tears.
Bought the LP and loved it.
It may not be Biblically correct, but it is a beautiful rendition.

Any attempt to deny the deity of Christ is antichrist.

Agreed, it is a blasphemous film.

True, but to be fair, Lydon pretty much holds everything in contempt. It’s his schtick.

True, but to be fair, Lydon pretty much holds everything in contempt. Its his schtick. But he likes ABBA, go figure.

The singers were all great on the album. Also, I think JCS is one of the few depictions of the Passion that got Judas right. In most movies about Christ, Judas is depicted as a zealot who tries to force Jesus to use His Godly power to vanquish the Romans. JCS portrayed Judas as someone who did not believe in Jesus' deity, and who saw Him instead as just a community organizer who was putting Himself ahead of community organizing.
