More about this sad story here, too. This show will feature "members of Sex Pistols, Incubus, Destiny's Child & *NSYNC."

“Brandon Boyd as “Judas Iscariot,” JC Chasez as “Pontius Pilate”

Are those the actor names for obama and holder?

John “Rotten” Lydon STILL holds naked contempt for organized religion “YOUR RELIGION”.

Sex Pistols John Rotten Lydon will play King Herod

Maybe it's a role he can take to heart.

I won’t attempt to vouch for the historical accuracy of this (that is impossible), but this song is simply AWESOME.

I listen to JCS on vinyl every Good Friday.

Cheesy ALW production but it totally rocks. Why not bring it back live? I hope they are successful.

Jesus Christ Superstar - Heaven On Their Minds

I love that song - and the album/Broadway version was SO MUCH better than the rendition performed in the 1973 film.

This was the lesser version - guy could not sing as well.

I saw "Superstar" in Coconut Grove (Miami) in 1971 IIRC. Brought the audience to tears.

Bought the LP and loved it.

It may not be Biblically correct, but it is a beautiful rendition.

Any attempt to deny the deity of Christ is antichrist.

I always like the soundtrack. I listen to it and my kids call me a hippie.

Is it time to bring back “Hair” too?

I did a regional tour of this back in the late 80's. Played Simon the Zealot and occasionally Pilate. Understudied Herod.

BTW. I thought the movie sucked.
