__ I use a consistent, literal, face-value method of interpretation and understanding the entire Word of God, including prophecy. In other wordsGod says what He means, and means what He says, so I can take what He says at face value.
__ I believe there is a distinction between the Nation of Israel and the Church (The Ekklesia of Christ).
__ I believe the underlying purpose of everything is for the Glory of God.
If a list already exists please let me know and I will ping those freepers in the future.
Much like the author, I was a dispensationalist and never knew it - although I detest all labels as the enemy uses them to divide Christians. I don’t see how its possible to rightly divide the Word without knowing the proper dispensation. Much religious error in the time of Paul was the result of attempting to apply what was/is meant for Israel to the Church, the Body of Christ. That continues to this day.
My understanding of the subject was greatly aided by numerous writers, but Clarence Larkin, and E W Bullinger, the latter especially, challenged me in this area and shattered much of the religious traditions/nonsense I had learned growing up and religious classes in college.
Please add me to the ping list since this is an area of interest for me. Thanks!
I think Dispensationalism is an interesting way to consider things but I am not sure one should consider that He changes during the relationship. I have learned, rather that it is just a helpful way or “perspective” to consider the history. Theme is a good word to cover it.
I believe I’ve made a mistake and the thread should be labeled ecumenical. Please change it.
In my own experience I was in agreement with the Reformed on most things, but when we got into eschatology and Israel I found I waas of the Dispensational view.
I lean pre-trib, but I’ve often wondered what Christians thought during WW2 holocaust
Please include me on your ping list.

If they read and believed the bible, they would have known they were not going thru the Tribulation...They did however go thru tribulations and perilous times...
Add me too...
There is no way to understand scripture or prophesy without understanding the different dispensations. We see the errors here all the time.

I couldn't agree more.
What really changed my thinking was focusing on the question of whether God is done with Israel, or not. After the Cross did those that believe The Gospel replace Israel, or does God still have a plan for Israel.
From my understanding, Israel didn't really exist as a nation at the time of the Gospels. Israel however became a nation again in 1948 as foretold in the bible in the Ot. So God had a plan for Israel and he surely does when he comes back. That is favorite place.
There is a very good article on Dispensations and Ages in ‘The Omega Letter’ website.
There are still seven more years left for Israel from the time prophesied for them. Once people understand that, prophesy becomes more clear. That plus understanding the Jewish wedding custom helps also. The seven days the couple is sequestered away compares to the time we, the bride of Christ, are with Him in heaven during the seven year tribulation.
Somewhere along about Isaiah 8, I think it speaks of this, although it is a little cloudy. They were apparently part of the 10 tribes that were granted temporary sanctuary in other countries after they fled Israel. God has a long memory.
Most weren't aware of the full extent of the Holocaust until after the war.
