Turning the sentence around, we get, "Light is the liturgical instinct of the Feast of the Presentation, which we celebrate today."

I looked up "liturgical instinct." Nothing I found suggested the term's meaning in this context. Either it's a personal phrasing of Msgr. Pope's or he typed the wrong word.

This feast is also called Candlelmas. I've always thought that the Presentation of Lord brought the light to Simeon and Anna, who both proclaimed about Jesus.

Do you get blessed candles today? Many do -- the only candles that will burn in the end times.
