On December 19, a school teacher in Temecula, California told her first grade student, Brynn Williams, that she could not present her family's Christmas tradition of a star of Bethlehem at her school, according to local reports.
Brynn's class was assigned to do a 1-minute presentation about an object that best represents their family's Christmas tradition. When Brynn stood up to give her presentation, she began reciting a Bible verse just before the teacher interrupted and told her to go take your seat". She was the only student not allowed to finish her presentation.
"When this took place she was hurt," said Brynn's father Shane, "she felt that she had done something wrong and she was going to be punished."
Brynn's family has since sought legal counsel with Advocates for Faith & Freedom.
"The disapproval and hostility that Christian students have come to experience in our nation's public schools has become epidemic, said Robert Tyler, general counsel for Advocates for Faith & Freedom, "I hope that (the school district ) will take the lead role in adopting a model policy to prohibit this abuse that has become all too common place for religious-minded students."
The Temecula Valley School District released only the following statement:
The Temecula Valley Unified School District respects all students' rights under the Constitution and takes very seriously any allegation of discrimination. Due to the fact that District officials are currently investigating the allegations, it would be inappropriate to provide further comment at this time.
This story broke shortly after advocates for religious freedom picked up on another controversial incident in a West Covina school district where another teacher prevented her student from bringing on campus "candy canes with a religious message".

Apparently the teacher didn't notice that its called "Christmas".
I live in Oro Valley, AZ, and during our Christmas parade, there were mostly churches, private Catholic and Christian schools, scouts and the military represented. Merry Christmas was used as a greeting naturally and without censure. We felt proud that we were celebrating Christ’s earthly birth.
Same thing
Democrats are more afraid of the Scriptures the Jews have preserved for 5000 years than they are of a Muslim holding a grenade and a rifle in a school ground. Why is that?
either these people need to be run out of town or Christians need to move away from those towns enmass.
either evict the vermin or fnd a better place to live ... leaving places like this to starve and rot
How the heck do you talk about Christmas traditions without mentioning Christ? LOL
The teacher got what she asked for. Christmas is about the star, add the three wise men, and; the birth of Jesus. My late mother loved her Hummel figurines that comprised her nativity scene. That nativity scene was up every Christmas from 1957 when my father bought it in Nurnburg, Germany until her last Christmas in 1984.I remembered the ones until about 1965 and a few of her last.
Exactly.
Time to sue their a**e*. When conservatives start getting ba**s and sue things will change.
Odds are this whole scenario was thought up by Anti-Christian educators for the express purpose of shaming and ridiculing the young students into believing Christianity is wrong and unmentionable. I’m sure these teachers have guidelines and suggested material with appropriate responses and non appropriate ones. Pretty standardized by now after decades of thinking and scheming of educators and teaching professionals.
That is possible, but, many here who have never been a bureaucrat especially an educrat don't grasp how cowardly and terrified of organized pushback bureaucrats are. Any publicity that is not concocted and processed by those at the top is nothing but very bad news for a white collar government paper pusher. It is just a mindset that pervades government. The atheist grips know this and know they can terrify the educrats with some loudmouthed bullying and they have the media to help them.
BWAHAHAHA! I won't see you FRiends, in the gulags...I'll be out of here or dead.

“A school teacher”, the “school district.” No names, no accountability. Giveme the tteacher’s name or just admit you agree with this. (The author, not you)
